Roseanne Park, known professionally as Rosé, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, dancer, and member of BLACKPINK (블랙핑크). She dropped out of high school to pursue a career as a singer. She was born in Auckland, New Zealand, to South Korean immigrants and moved to Melbourne, Australia, when she was 7 years old. She holds dual citizenship from South Korea and New Zealand.

In 2012, she joined YG Entertainment (YG엔터테인먼트) as a trainee after she ranked first at an audition in Australia among 700 candidates. The company had planned a 7-member girl group, but after several years of intense competition, the new group was formed with only 4 members.

Prior to her debut, she featured in G-Dragon's track "Without You" but was credited as "? from YG New Girl Group" until her official public introduction.

She made her debut in August 2016 as BLACKPINK's main vocalist and lead dancer with the mini album "Square One".

In March 2021, she made her debut as a solo artist with the single album "R".

In November 2023, she was invested by King Charles III as an Honorary Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), alongside her bandmates, during a special ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

In December of that year, YG announced that all 4 members renewed their contracts and the company would only handle their group activities.

She then signed with The Black Label (더블랙레이블) to handle her individual activities. In January 2025, she decided to withdraw from the Korea Music Copyright Association, which marked the first departure by a major K-Pop artist from the association in 22 years.
