Bae Jin Young is a South Korean singer, dancer, actor, and former member of WANNA ONE (워너원) and CIX (씨아이엑스). He graduated from Lila Art High School.

He spent 9 months as a trainee at C9 Entertainment (C9엔터테인먼트) before becoming a contestant in the survival competition "Produce 101 Season 2" in mid-2017. He managed to end up in 10th place, earning a spot in the resulting project group. He later signed with Swing Entertainment (스윙엔터테인먼트) and made his debut in August 2017 as WANNA ONE's lead dancer, sub-vocalist and visual with their first mini-album, "1X1=1 (To Be One)".

The contract was made for one year and six months, so the group officially disbanded in January 2019 following their final concert performance.

He returned to his agency and made his debut as a solo artist in April 2019 with his self-composed album, "Hard To Say Goodbye", and held several fan meetings in Asia.

He then re-debuted in July 2019 as CIX's main dancer, lead vocalist, center and face of the group with their first EP, "Hello Chapter 1: Hello, Stranger".

He made his acting debut in December 2021 as the male lead in WHYNOT Media's original drama "User Not Found". Then, in June 2022, he appeared in his first film with a role in the Thai-Singapore co-production "The Antique Shop".

In August 2024, C9 Entertainment announced his departure from the group and the agency after his contract expired. A few weeks later, he signed with Aura Entertainment (아우라엔터테인먼트) and continues his career as an actor and a soloist.
