She made her debut in June 2017 (under the stage name Hyeseong) as the group's vocalist and lead dancer with their first EP, "We, First". They were managed by Hunus Entertainment (후너스엔터테인먼트) and underwent some lineup changes a few years after debuting.
She made her debut as a musical actress in 2018 with a role in "Hello Jadoo".
In December 2021, the agency announced they were transferring the management of the group to IOK Company (아이오케이컴퍼니) and, in April 2022, they rebranded as ALICE ahead of the release of the digital single, "Power of Love". She also changed her stage name to Yeonje.
In April 2023, she went on hiatus due to health issues and never returned to the group's lineup. In May 2024, she announced her contract had expired and she had left the group but will remain under IOK management to pursue a career as an actress.
