In 2018, he appeared in the singing survival show "UNDER19" and finished in 7th place, thus earning a spot in the resulting project group. He made his debut in April 2019 as 1THE9's main rapper, vocalist, and maknae with their first mini-album, "XIX". They were supposed to be active for around one year, so in August 2020, PocketDol Studio (포켓돌스튜디오) announced their disbandment.
He then moved to RAIN Company as a trainee and re-debuted in March 2021 as CIIPHER's rapper and maknae (using the stage name Won) with their first EP, "I Like You".
In August 2023, he left the group when his contract with the agency expired. Then, in November of that year, he made his debut as a solo artist with the digital single, "Even If It's A Lie".
