Kim Hyun Jae
- Name: Kim Hyun Jae
- Native name: 김현재
- Also Known as: Kim Hyeon Jae, 더킹, The King
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Male
- Born: January 14, 2000
- Age: 26
He made his debut in April 2017 (using the stage name The King) as the group's main rapper and maknae with their first single, "Please". They were managed by Black Hole Entertainment (블랙홀 엔터테인먼트) and, despite releasing 2 more digital singles and one mini-album and having concerts in several countries, they were never able to establish a solid domestic fanbase.
In April 2021, Black Hole announced the end of their contracts and, by mutual agreement, the group's disbandment. He appears to be out of the entertainment industry for the time being.
In 2023, he entered the singing survival show "Peak Time" (using his real name) as a solo artist and was grouped with 4 other contestants in Team 24:00. However, an anonymous source began spreading allegations online accusing him of school violence. He denied the rumors, and JTBC launched an investigation. At the conclusion of episode 5, he decided to leave the show to avoid any more harm to his teammates, but he vehemently denied being guilty.
In June 2024, he announced through his Instagram that one of his former classmates was found guilty by the Seoul Central District Court for making false school bullying accusations. The court ruled that the accuser would be responsible for paying him damages.
He is currently working as a lyricist and is not represented by any agency.
