He made his debut in August 2017 as the group's main rapper and lead dancer with their first single album, "Last Men". They won the Rookie of the Year Award at the 2018 Asia Model Awards and toured in several countries, including being the first ever K-Pop group to have a concert in the Dominican Republic in February 2020.
In February 2024, DNA Entertainment announced his contract would not be renewed and he left the group and the agency.
He is promoting as a solo artist under the stage name D.I and is represented by 4824 Company (4824컴퍼니). He enlisted for his mandatory military service on April 8, 2024.
