After STAYC's debut, Kim was revealed to have signed on with P NATION as a trainee. However, she left the agency sometime in 2021 announcing it on September 16, 2021, via her Instagram account. On May 4, 2022, Kim was officially revealed as the first member of the girl group, IOLITE.
