Cynthia Khan is a Taiwanese actress born in Chiayi, Taiwan, who later moved to Hualien with her family, where they operated a jewelry business. She graduated from the Dance Department of Kuo-Kuang Arts School in Taipei.

After graduation, Khan began her career in the Hong Kong film industry, participating in martial arts action films. While at Kuo-Kuang, she took part in the talent competition show "Liu Teng Jiang" on China Television (CTV), performing ethnic and modern dances. During this time, she was in a four-year relationship with Li Chih Chi.

At 19, Khan moved to Hong Kong to pursue acting, initially signing with Dapao Film Company. She later obtained an international yoga instructor certification and expanded her career by teaching yoga, founding Li Zhi Jing Hua International Co., Ltd., and publishing books and instructional DVDs.

In 2017, at 49, Khan enrolled in the MBA program at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology to pursue further specialization in her career.
