She made her debut in March 2007 as KARA's main rapper, main dancer and vocalist with their first full-length album, "The First Bloooooming" (later retitled as "Blooming"). The album was not a commercial success and went unrecognized by the public, and DSP Media (DSP미디어) began pressuring them as they were seen as the successors of FIN.K.L.
The group faced several lineup changes throughout the years, and in January 2014, she announced her departure from the group and the agency. She returned to the United States for a few months and later came back to South Korea, signed with B2M Entertainment and made her debut as a solo artist with the mini-album "First Romance".
In June 2022, she reunited with all KARA members for a photoshoot, and the group officially came back in November of that year with the album "Move Again", commemorating their 15th anniversary. They held several fan meetings in Japan and concerts in both Japan and South Korea.
In July 2022, she signed with JWK Entertainment (JWK엔터테인먼트).
