Kim Sin I is a South Korean singer-songwriter, actor and member of MONNI (몽니). He graduated from Yeouido High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree from Mokwon University.

He began practicing with his bandmates in late 2003 and decided to name the band MONNI (literal translation is "greed") after he read the word in a newspaper. He became the band's leader and vocalist and debuted in January 2004 by performing in an underground club called Club Sluger for 3-4 months.

They released their first studio album, "First Day, Light" in early 2005 and have become a representative band of alternative rock, appearing in many events and university festivals every year. The band is self-managed by their own agency, Modern Boy Records (모던보이레코드).

He made his acting debut in 2017 with a role in the movie "Blue Busking", winning the Best New Actor Award at the Golden Cinema Film Festival. In September 2023, the band also signed a contract with Art & Artist (아트앤아티스트) to help with the distribution of their music.

In April 2026, he announced a hiatus from the band, citing creative differences with the other members and the agency. He left the door open for a possible comeback in the future but, for the time being, he opted to promote as a solo artist.
