Bai Jing was a Chinese actress born to an ordinary family in Liaoning Province and was actively involved in performances as early as her kindergarten days. With her talent in singing and dancing, she entered the China Coal Mine Art Troupe Staff Secondary Art School in 1996 to study dance. In April 1999, she joined the Communist Youth League of China. In 2000, she received training in the music group at Guolun Xinguang Art Centre. In 2002, Bai was admitted to the acting department of Central Academy of Drama in 2002 and won a scholarship for acting from 2004 to 2005. After graduating in 2005, she entered showbiz with her participation in the TV series "Love". She made her breakthrough in 2007 with her role in the historical war drama "Legend of Xiang Xi".

With her training background in Wing Chun since her childhood days, Bai performed well in her role in the 2010 movie "Kung Fu Wing Chun".
