Sugihara Yasuhiro is a Japanese singer born in Hadano, Kanagawa. He was raised in a family whose lifeblood is music. With both parents as members of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, he had been trained to play the violin from the tender age of three and quickly mastered an instrument which he would later on carrying into his successful career.

In 2001, he began a production company, InterLUXIZ, in conjunction with Embryo, his new label. He has collaborated with dozens of artists and produced several successful acts. In 2001, SUGIZO began filming for his first acting debut in the movie Hogi-Lala. Simultaneously during this time, he developed a project known as SUGIZO & THE SPANK YOUR JUICE.

SUGIZO is currently the guitarist of Japanese rock band X Japan and Luna Sea, he also plays violin for Luna Sea as well.
