She made her debut in 1987 when she was chosen as "Miss Marlena" by the Nippon Kaiji Kyokai and as "Miss Madras" in a contest sponsored by the shoe manufacturer Madras. She became a popular actress with her neat face and un-Japanese style, and appeared in many TV dramas, commercials and variety shows.
In 1997, she became engaged to a businessman, and in March 1998, she retired from the entertainment world after quiting her job as an assistant on "Rumor! Tokyo Magazine". In June 1999, she gave birth to her first child, a girl. Edit Biography
