Catriona Gray was born on January 6, 1994 in Cairns, Queensland, Australia as Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray. She is of Filipino/Scottish descent best known for having been crowned Miss Universe 2018 and for her work on Supermodelme (2009), Live with Kelly and Ryan (1988) and Good Morning America (1975).

Her foray into the world of pageantry began in 1999 when she won Little Miss Philippines in Sydney at the age of five.
