If you want to watch this one, make sure to turn off your logical sense!

The story starts pretty well, yet as it goes on the ML and FL become really weird. The ML has a dark past and is punishing himself out of guilt. The FL, on the other hand, seems caring, yet she becomes so absorbed in ML's life that acts out of character most of the time. She does things seemingly unnecessary, and can make you cringe :)
Call it love or anything, this pairing is weird :))
The leads have great chemistry, there are plenty of kiss scenes and skinships. It is romantic indeed, but the romance has no depth. it's just there.
The dark past is shown and the problems are generally solved too. it's not one of those so complicated dramas.
I liked this drama for the leads. Both actors are good-looking and cute lol
Overall, a pleasant drama. But don't get too involved with the story :))

Decent and fun

This drama is literally fast-paced, to the point that in a span of 9 episodes major events happen. It's not draggy, there are no loopholes, no love triangles, and most important of them all No sadness :)

The leads have great chemistry together. There are decent skinship/kiss scenes. We go in-depth into their relationship and we get to see how they evolve and dissolve into each other's lives. The ML is cute and caring. The FL, on the other hand, is a bit socially awkward, but she is not cringey or anything. In fact, she does grow and mature as the drama progresses.

If you are already familiar with how Jdramas go, you won't get surprised, but this drama is based on a unique sort of fetish. You will see fumes and vapor, and hear the world Smell and sweat a lot, but not in a bad way lol. It's sometimes silly, but funny at the same time.

The drama is adversary-free, fun, and romantic. you will enjoy it overall.

If you really want to watch this drama, watch until episode 10. SKIPPING episode 11 is a must.

This was one of those Jdramas that started pretty well. the story was detailed and on-point. However, the writers decided to make it different and it was good, until it wasn't.

Story:
Adultery, but in a really absurd way. We get to see two very nonfunctional couples who are struggling with their sexless lives. however, this is not the whole thing. The characters are so lost and don't even know what they are doing. The concept of talking and marriage counseling doesn't even exist( which is not understandable imo). So to find solace and peace, they cheat; one emotionally and the other physically. and cheating is somehow forgiven by both parties again without talking. the reason why I'm saying it should've ended on episode 10 is that the leads finally got out of their dungeons and decided to make things right. but right about to do so, episode 11 screws everything up :/

Acting and chemistry:
Honestly, the actors and actresses don't depict emotions much. it's nonexistent kinda. except for a short period that we see Michi and Makoto getting close and romantic( Makoto's feelings were sincere but Michi's??! she was drowned in her mind). and the worst acting award goes to the second lead ( Yo and Kaede). The childish and selfish behavior depicted was unbelievable( but that does exist in real world, so kudos to the writer)

OST:
unlike many Jdramas I watched, this drama had a few songs that were quite good.

one thing I like to mention is that by episode 10, the whole story was wrapped up. we could guess the future based on the things we saw and it was over, but suddenly episode 11 popped up and the leads were all good with their exes? what happened? just a few months passed and they suddenly realized they can go back to being Comrades?LOL
as much as I liked the first few episodes, the last episodes weren't OK.

Cliche rom-com, but the chemistry is Amazing!

This drama is the exact definition of drama Cliche; a cold, handsome, wealthy boss and a poor, beautiful, loving girl. That sums it all. They fall in love despite bickering with each other from the beginning, but their love blossoms into something profound.

The whole drama is set in various hotels and you see cute and breathtaking sceneries. The story is quite simple but there are mishaps along the way for the leads too. Don't expect to see the logic behind anything that happens, as it is the nature of this drama to be funny and romantic. The leads are just made for each other.

overall, a feel-good drama with cute skinship and chemistry between the leads.

Beautiful drama, but badly produced!

Let me start reviewing this drama by saying how this drama could have been much more popular and highly rated if the authors and producers had done a better job. That's it.

The story is rather the same drama fantasy cliche, extraordinary gifts, a murder plot, and a steamy office romance, mixed with childhood lovers. It had so much potential, the story is actually entertaining and the leads have a marvelous chemistry, so what went wrong?

The drama's story was all over the place. There is no development. There is no background history and suddenly the leads start liking each other. There is no connection between the characters in the drama and simply they exist because they had to. This lack of coherence is what made the drama poorly executed and less intriguing to the audience.

The leads have one of the most beautiful chemistries and there are many Romantic/steamy scenes but without any development. They could've used the fantasy element as the focus of the show and let the leads roll around by it. The second leads and other supporting cast simply show up and are done!

It doesn't seem like a low-budget drama but again, weak execution makes everything bland.

Overall, if you love romance and can simply watch a drama for its romance, then you will enjoy this drama! just don't get too deep into the story and let it roll :)

This is how the real world works plus a few fate tricks

It's not everyone's cup of tea for sure, since the lead couple are not ordinary and certainly not young, but they are among the most realistic couples i have seen in Kdramas.

Story:

Star math teacher. Heartthrob, rich, whatever you name it, he has it. There are dark secrets lurking around. there is also tragedy but filled with many good moments. On the other hand, we have a very troubled family with a secret of their own. not to mention the hardships and happiness shown are meant to depict a more realistic feature of life. Students' pressure in life. A world where justice has no say in it and the hierarchy of relationships. This is how real world is.
Not many loopholes and certainly everything wraps up perfectly. The story at its core is flawless, except for a few short mishaps.

Acting:

First time seeing the leads. They are mature in both acting and delivering a decent character. The chemistry is off the charts. silly at times, but beautiful. Wish they had more interactions as a couple, but this drama is more heavily focused on the story revolving around students.

production:

top-notch. The locations used for shooting and even the items of clothing worn by the cast is chosen with dedication and care. It's not just some low-budget drama. everything is on point.

soundtrack:

Beautiful songs are used throughout the drama. totally matched the mood.

Overall, if you like the Genre of teaching, students, family, and a mature romance, this is for you!

Below average

This drama it's the typical childhood Noona romance type of drama. But man, the script was badly written. The ML who was supposed to be the lead acted like a childish puppy and his role was basically nonexistent. He was just there to cook and hug and tell the FL "I love yous".

The FL. she was good but the character development was bad. She was lost and I don't know how she ended up choosing the ML.

The second ML, who was actually the ML IMO, was the only character that had a decent development. He had his own plans, plots, relationships, etc and it kind of worked for him. The drama could have been solely his and not anyone else's.

Basically, a very absurd drama to pass your time. not recommended at all.

A cinderella story full of cliches, but worth watching!

Contract marriage! The troupe Asian dramas love to play with it but it somehow never gets old. This drama is no exception but it was decently depicted. Romance lovers fans won't be disappointed.

Story:
A king enters a contractual relationship with a poor Cinderella. that's the whole concept. But it's not easy. there are villains everywhere who would do anything to separate them. but guess what? Love indeed conquers all.
We get to see a rich kid who happens to be a brat and good-looking, however, he holds a secret cutting him deep within. On the other hand, Cinderella is a beautiful girl with a bad temper who can't keep a job and is in dire need of money. So, they are a match made in heaven; fakely! They go through trials and find love and solace in each other, which is cute.

Acting and Chemistry:
Unlike many Jdramas that i have seen( with robotic acting and zero chemistry) the actor and actress have a good on-screen chemistry. They are funny and kinda, just like the ying yang keyring they carry with them. They portray a believable romantic couple and that's somehow unexpected in Jdramas.

OST: i loved the songs played in this drama. totally matched the mood.

Writing:
well, unlike many other dramas again, the loopholes presented in this drama all got solved in the end. Even the villains were forgiven( a bit odd). the first half was much more intriguing but the second half got draggy at some point. but that's how it is, love conquers ALL!

Overall, a beautiful drama. if you're in the mood for a silly romantic Jdrama with a bit of cringe and complications, make sure you watch this drama!

Just watch it for the chemistry!

This drama is your average, thriller, a bit of mystery, and romance drama. The story is full of plot holes and the mysteries are like in a loop, they keep repeating themselves and there is not much explanation behind it UNTIL the last episode. So, it gets really draggy in the middle, and many episodes become really bland.

The plot is actually quite interesting at first, but it gets a bit boring as the story goes on. There are several meaningless breakups, bad guys, and useless plots mixed altogether that create a really confusing drama. On the whole, the story is just an amalgamation of many side stories that can be cringe-worthy.

The couple, on the other hand, is the only thing that makes the story interesting. Their chemistry is very deep and the romantic scenes are beautifully depicted. Surprisingly, the leads have a great connection, and the kiss scenes are wonderfully shot. that's the only part worth mentioning in this drama. but they have meaningless breakups and lies, etc.

The soundtrack is so average and boring at times. I didn't like the repeating songs and glamorizing the scenes with rather irrelevant songs.

Overall, a pretty decent drama. But, i suggest FF many scenes and get straight to the couple's interaction. The mysteries and plots all unravel in the last few episodes so you won't miss a thing.

Really lives up to the hype

I'm not a fan of thriller action dramas, so I was skeptical to watch it or not.
I dare say seeing a really high rating on MDL acted like an incentive for me to watch it, and I must say I'm glad I did.
Love Lee joon Gi and Moon chae won. Both are like the stars in the Kdrama world. Their acting was flawless, and so was this drama.

Story:
Technically, it's full of loopholes. But everything happens for a reason and the interpretations are vast. It's one of those dramas where every problem was resolved ( except for a few minor occurrences).
The writers did a marvelous job keeping everything on track.

Acting:
Flawless, with the least amount of cringe. Even the second lead's story was fully covered. It's not one of those dramas where you get angry over silly, absurd, and nonsense characters. Everyone is there for a reason.

Romance/relationships:
As someone who adores romance In kdramas, even though this drama's focus was elsewhere, the romance was depicted so purely and genuinely that deserves thorough applause ( thanks to the acting and story). You will love the leads, albeit their background story is hurtful.

Soundtrack:
It fits perfectly. The background music pieces composed are delicately embedded to match the stories.

Overall, an incredible choice to watch, even if you're not an Action/Thriller fan. You won't be disappointed.

Those who have been through breakups understand this drama a bit better

I watched this drama while it aired. There was a hype going on, and i decided to join the gang.
This drama is about lovers who break up, despite loving each other for personal reasons.
The story is sad at times, but realistic.
Character development was the great point of this drama. We all carry a heavy baggage in our lives, and so did the leads. It's not like they couldn't move on. They actually did, but deep down when you love someone letting is go the hardest.
During the course of the series, i always told myself they will breakup again and it will be a sad ending. Who has ever seen a broken couple get back together, even better than their first encounter?? Well, this drama is all about that.
It's cliche, boring at times, but very romantic. You can feel with the leads and live with them for a while.
The soundtrack is just marvelous and carefully chosen.
Overall, a must-watch for diehard romance lovers!

Mediocre and at times quite absurd. Overall, a steady ride.

This drama can be your typical, romantic, feel-good, with a bit of angst type of drama.
The story starts with the C word and is set in a hospital environment, so this is not everyone's cup of tea.
As the story progresses, the drama is quite predictable, with the exception of its ending( where they could let the audience guess about the illness' prognosis. No everyone should die of illnesses in dramaland)

The leads are cute and have good chemistry, But YZ needs to learn how to act. Her acting is always the same! I felt like i was seeing Go Go Squid all over again with just a different male lead. Even the way she dresses is the same. And last but not least, she CAN'T kiss the MLs.
The ML on the other hand, delivers good character development and can cheer up the audience in just a few seconds.

The soundtrack was ok. The selection was limited.
There was a bitchy SFL who just wanted the ML at all costs, but she learned her lesson and that didn't drag much.
The side stories were quite ok. Not much angst or complications.

This drama could have been shorter and much sweeter if not for the dragging and cringe-worthy scenes.
Overall a really average drama. If you like hospital setting mixed with romance, this is for you.

Not the best, but no the worst either

I personally had high hopes for this drama. Before it aired, the trailers and promotions seemed promising and MISLEADING to some. However, the drama turned out to be lacking in script and writing and thus making it not that good.
Plus, don't let the name fool you. This drama is not that ROMANTIC. There are barely kiss scenes and skinships.

Story:
Typical marriage contract but with a twist. The FL's job is to marry guys who need partners for various reasons. There are some good guys and some psychos involved. There are SML and SFL and so many side stories going on, which seemed so unnecessary at times. I can dare say more than half of the drama got draggy and cringe-worthy. Character development was not ok, especially the SML and FL's relationship was written poorly. The only people with decent character development were ML and FL's roommate. Personally, i believe that this drama could've turned much better with a good team of writers :\

Acting:
I have seen all PMY's dramas and honestly, her last dramas were a turndown. GPK's acting was superb! i have seen him in a few dramas before and he delivered the best character in this drama. The second ML, albeit a bit cranky and quirky, acted pretty ok. The second leads and the supporting cast delivered a somewhat acceptable performance, yet again the only thing that overshadowed their acting was the bad script.

Music:
Nothing extraordinary in my opinion. Very limited songs and they didn't match the scenes very much.

Production:
From the looks of this drama, we can figure it had a decent budget. The dresses PMY wears are all sponsored by high-end brands. The cars, buildings, houses, etc, were expensive. The drama looks glittery to the eye, but without depth.

Chemistry:
Even though the drama's name is love in contract, the love is barely visible. We get to see the leads so lovey-dovey, but that's just it. Their love is not that genuine, more like platonic to me. The ML is really caring and starts loving FL, but the FL is so lost that can't deliver a good romantic partner. The kiss scenes were all too short and shallow.

Overall, a somewhat OK drama. Not the type you will go back and rewatch your favorite episodes(or you might lol). it could have been better. The drama had the potential to be much more sweet and enjoyable, yet as it happens in Kworld, writers can't deliver a good piece lol

Modernized Makjang

If you're familiar with the Kdrama troupe, Makjangs are simple, overboard types of dramas that last for months. More like Traditional Korean dramas. This one is the exact same thing but with a shorter number of episodes.

Story:

Minimal romance-based drama with lots of family plots! and a taste of Fantasy. that's it :) More like cat and mouse fights. Attacks and counterattacks, with some loose ends. but in this one, the villains got what they deserved and the underprivileged ones found peace. The leads had good chemistry and their relationship development was nice. but their on-screen time together was very minimal. Not so much skinship or kiss scenes. that's the only downside IMHO.

Acting:

All the cast were new to me except for SH. He has improved a lot since his previous roles. The villains acted quite proficiently and i think they wrapped everything up correctly.

OST:
A bit nonexistent. no comment here.

production:

This is not a high budget drama. you don't see glorious work settings or houses. The drama's shots are limited to two houses and a company. The visuals are average. as expected in Makjangs.

Overall, a decent revenge drama with a little romance in it.

Simply beautiful

This movie is not that complicated. It's a simple first-love movie, that started way back in high school. but star-crossed lovers were separated due to what we call "fate". However, life had other plans. They reunite amidst a very chaotic adulthood, yet love doesn't die that easily.

It's simple. It's picturesque and the leads have a beautiful chemistry. you can feel their love for each other.
The story is not that heart-wrenching and the flow is smooth.

Definitely a must-watch for romance lovers.
