i'm only at ep 9 and i'm very annoyed. i think i would enjoy this more without the flashbacks and just more focused…
You're very wrong here. I know people have opinions, but I hope drama viewers stop expecting the main leads to be perfect or conform to the audience standards, especially for male lead.
What I mean is, in this drama, he's just a teenager growing into adulthood without parents, so of course he's not very mature. He was basically saved by FL, so communicating with FL is quite difficult for him because he doesn't want to bother FL any more than he already has, and he wants to repay FL kindness as soon as possible.
One of the best modern chinese dramas I've ever seen and it's probably the best older FL drama at least for me, as I think there are only a few chinese dramas that I consider really good.
This drama is clearly not the typical older FL drama like the others. Usually, the story of older FL drama is about FL accompanying ML when they were young or FL helping ML from bullying once and then disappearing, a timeskip occurs, and ML comes back to FL who has many problems but ML comes back in a stable situation and seems to have no problems in his life, only living to help FL face all her problems. But this drama is not like that and is clearly deeper than that.
I like how this drama shows their difficulties before and after timeskip, especially ML in his work and relationships, which I think is very realistic since he is still young and clearly not mature enough, but still tries his best for FL. And FL, who has work and relationship problems before and after timeskip, but can still stand on her own without depending on ML to solve them.
I hope you all watch this drama and enjoy it as much as I did.
I guess I’m in the minority. Zhuang Xu is affectionate towards Nei Xiguang. He helped her with the thesis, but…
That's a unique opinion, but I don't think they can be together because you must have heard the saying, “Find a partner who is your equal,” and it is SML feelings of inferiority that make them unequal. Equality here isn't just about social status and money, but also about their mindset and how much love there is between them, and I don't see that in SML. I think dramas that depict issues like this well are "You Are My Glory" and maybe "Lighter and Princess"
I don't really like SML, but I think his low self-esteem is a realistic problem and I can still understand it. The main problem is Rong. Her obsession with SML and her jealousy of FL are not normal, and she should get what she deserves. I would be very satisfied if SML ended up with his coworker, who seems to have a romantic relationship with him? rather than with Rong.
