They’re literally in such a similar situation right now. The girl falls for the guy, but the guy is interested in another girl. And then, around the middle of the show, the girl decides that maybe they should just be friends because she doesn’t want to become a burden to him. When I watched YuYang’s story, I genuinely thought that was the end of them. Like, okay, their story is over, time to move on. And then somehow they STILL ended up together by the end??? So I’m holding onto that tiny bit of hope for Mengmeng and Xilun LMAO.
I know Xilun isn’t perfect. He’s pretty bad at reading the room, and his EQ is... questionable sometimes 😭. I was actually pretty annoyed with him during the early episodes. BUT I do think he’s genuinely sincere, and I feel like that becomes pretty obvious in the way he handles things with Mengmeng.
Like, the way he was genuinely worried about her and tried to comfort her... I don’t know, it felt very sincere to me. And the fact that when he finally decided to give his message to Mengmeng, he chose her instead of Yuer??? That really made me believe that he’s a sincere person.
Honestly, I think Xilun could be a pretty good match IF he learns how to work on those shortcomings. Because one thing I do like about him is that he’s not afraid to show when he likes someone. He’s pretty straightforward with his actions, and when he’s interested in someone, he actually puts in effort.
And PLEASE let that person be Mengmeng 😭. I actually think their chemistry is pretty good. If they ever start liking each other for real, we’d basically get the classic older-girl/younger-guy drama trope where the younger guy becomes completely incapable of staying away from the older woman LMAOOO. I need to see that happen so badly.
But yeah... realistically, this is probably just my delusional little wish at this point 😭. Especially because it’s Yuer, not Min Zhou. It really feels like Yuer is going to take Xilun all the way to the end of the show with her drama.
So I’m just sitting here like... okay, I’ll keep my expectations low, but I’m NOT giving up on Mengmeng and Xilun yet. 😂
I felt so maternal towards Sisi, especially during the first few episodes since she was super quiet and shy. I’m just so happy she found her safe haven in Yihang on this show. They’re literally so cute together, their slowburn and the way they talk😊. I never expected Sisi to be this talkative and well-spoken.
It's so special how they got their ideal types of love right from episode one, Sisi with yellow (safe love) and Yihang with red (passionate love). About Yihang you can totally tell from how he’s always blushing and panicking around her because she keeps surprising him, pretty sure his heart was doing backflips lol🤣. It was adorable when he randomly said, 'Sisi is so cute'😂.

On the other hand, the other girls always bring something for their dates. Like Sisi brought cake on her last date, Renfang brought a huge gift when they went stargazing, Kaiyi brought flowers, and the rest did too.
At this point, I just can’t take Yuer side anymore. I’m not denying her chemistry with Hewen and honestly, their chemistry is actually great. Episode 6 had me smiling the whole time too. I’d be happy if they ended up together, at least Hewen would be happy.
In my opinion, this is just one of "Beauty Privilige". When you’re an pretty woman, it’s so much easier for guys to fall for you at first sight, or at least get a really deep first impression.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. Looks like Hewen endgame is definitely Yuer. It feels like Love Actually Season 5 all over again with the LiuZhou CP. 'If you take just one step toward me, I’ll take a thousand steps toward you.' That’s pretty much the vibe between Hewen and Yuer too because clearly Hewen likes Yuer that much.
But if by some miracle Hewen ends up choosing Xiaoyu, this season would be perfect for me. but yeah, it seems like the chances are pretty low.
This show would be a solid 10/10 for me if Hewen ends up with Xiaoyu. But judging by the edit and how past dating shows played out (Love Actually S5), a girl like Yuer will probably still end up as Hewen endgame.
I'm only on episode 4, but I really don't get Yuer. Whenever Hewen has a choice, he always chooses her. He cleared up that past misunderstanding, used his date coin to ask her out, and chose to sit next to her when he had to pick between her and Xiaoyu.
On the flip side, Yuer hasn't initiated anything with him. It's totally fine to feel jealous, but I'm not buying that she has any right to be mad, especially when she never puts in any effort or reciprocates what Hewen does. So honestly, I don't blame Hewen at all for finally responding to Xiaoyu initiative.

That’s exactly why I asked 😅. I mean, the 4 guys seem pretty locked in already. If she moves on from Xilun, her only other option is Hewen, and I really don't want her competing with Xiaoyu 😭. Their friendship is just too beautiful for that. At least if a new guy comes in later, even if he doesn't fall for Mengmeng right away, she’d still have more options to choose from. Totally agree! Both Love is Blind and Offline Love have such a cool concept and they were really good, but they just stopped making them. Instead, Transit Love—which clearly copies the Korean version and isn't even that well-made—somehow got 3 seasons. It’s such a shame.
