Believe it or not, education system in certain parts of Asia is ridiculously competitive even starting from grade…
Yea, several posters, including myself have commented on it below. It's a really hot issue in Asia irl. And this drama covered not one, but actually two episodes concerning this issue. The first one being about a suicidal brother of the autistic person that likes Pengsoo.

That paparazzi stalking Tae Suni... I feel like they're gonna tear her down with Youngwoo too, pushing the nepotism…
I think they'll expose her having an illegitimate child and she'll be faced with a decision to fight them and pursue her political career or getting together with her daughter. And she'll choose the latter, I think.

Does anybody else feel that mentor Jung Myung-Seok needs some love too? He's such a nice guy and he's not married judging by the lack of the ring and sleeping alone. At first I even thought there's gonna be some love triangle with that character. But he's all professional with everyone.

Also, I think FL's friend will get jealous of Choi Soo Yeon and in the end will end up dating Mr. Hairy, her boss. He's the nice, quiet type 😅

Edit, give them an explanation and then they will take in into account and add a romance tag.
Thanks, I submitted the edit.

But I feel like he is going to make an even bigger mess.. I hope he doesn't though
Yea, by the looks of him he still didn't get it and is planning some new stunt. I hope he'll get fired in the end.

When Romance tag will finally be added to this drama's genre? It clearly has romance in it and not just a slight version. Slight version is something akin to Military Prosecutor Doberman, but here it's oozing with it.
Do moderators have something against autistic people having romantic relationships?

Well, they've already shown us a darker episode with the similar message. How brother of the autistic person tried to kill himself many times because of all the stress of studying and trying to please his parents. That's where it will lead for some of those kids.
I'm glad this topic was raised again, but showing it from the roots of the problem when kids are still so naive and playful.

Title Link: Eat, Love, Kill Spoiler
I dropped it as well, read episodes recaps after and I don’t regret dropping it. It went downhill after eight…
I didn't say that mystery captivated me. I said Link was overall a better drama. That is, until I dropped it after episode 9. Past that I just read recaps. I didn't want to waste my time on boring shit. I practically dropped BE after same amount of episodes, but decided to quickly skip most of the boring scenes until the end.
ML actor is totally spoiled for me now by acting in such dramas.

BE was worse because I figured out what happened after half the episodes and there was nothing of interest left there except annoyingly self-righteous younger ML's obssession with older ML. I'm not into weird bromance shit, so I rated it very low overall.
In Link at least there was romance, quirky SML and SFL and funny FL's mom and grandma. And I didn't figure out the villain until he was revealed, because there were no clues or motives given to his actions. Just some random dude from the neighbourhood. But still, criminal mystery part in Link is just terribly written, there is no justification here, no matter how much some people here are trying to defend this drama.

It is said by Master Lee that Songrim founder was also born with the King's star. In Daeho, there are only two…
Master Lee also said that those under King's star are born to fight chaos. Maybe becoming King was added later.

I think that character is like that cause of his past, maybe he's also a normal guy and will end up with so yeon…
Yea, and it's not like every person who had a tough or tragic past becomes such a rotten bastard. Most people don't actually.
I actually think he was raised that way, many notions and preconceptions children have come from their biased parents.
And there is nothing that would excuse his nasty behaviour anyway, especially towards a disabled person.

I cant believe that such system was there in academies where they are forced to study till 10 pm i mean im glad…
Yea, most of the Asian kids whose parents can afford it go to secondary schools/academies/etc. And they're all for pay. Gotta wonder what they teach if anything in their public schools. Completely rotten system and very unfair to children of poor families, it creates an even bigger gap with each new generation.

There was this very nice drama called Crazy Love, which came out this year. It was about a private education field. I now realize why so competitive and how very profitable this field is and how much money those companies earn. ML there even said that he was sick to death of training kids every year to succefully pass exams, but he loooved money 😄

It looks like it is very challenging to live with an autistic person, judging by FL father's experience. I don't think ML is overthinking it, it is a big decision. And FL won't understand and will get very hurt if he dumps her. She already has very low self esteem when it comes to romantic relationships. That's why he's so hesitant to start anything.
But on the bright side, if he does start it, he'll never get bored for sure😂 - FL today was hilarious, how she literally repeated every man's courtesy gesture to a woman with ML.

He doesn't deserve her. And she knows he's rotten, why would she go out with him? He's incorrigible.

I suppose every parent wants their child to exceed them, or they try to realize their failed dreams through their children. Or like in that episode with Pengsoo - a child is a parent's business card. Mind, not a person, an object 🤦‍♂️

In SK you also won't get any decent job without connections, even with high grades 🤣 They've got double barriers there for young graduates. Nepotism ir running rampant there, that's why there are so many dramas about it.
So totally understandable some just give up and decide lay flat, just like that movement in China.

I’ve also seen a documentary recently that 50% of Chinese graduates can’t find a job after. And there are millions of them every year. Their parents spend all their savings on their education and in the end many kids have to reprofile. It seems that everybody wants to be a manager in the office instead of less prestigious but surprisingly bigger salary job. Like a professional plumber, for example, lol.
