I suppose that's the Ye Li the drama wants to show to the viewers at this stage of the story: you can't help but…
If they gonna add transmigration trope here I swear I’m gonna drop it. I fkn hate it. I’ve started watching because people here assured me they removed it.
I have to say I agree with AtsukoM's above comment, I think you're feeling exactly what they want the viewers…
I'm just expressing that I'm not on board on this ship yet, like seemingly so many other people are already. They're swooning over something I don't think is even there yet. Just my opinion.
I suppose that's the Ye Li the drama wants to show to the viewers at this stage of the story: you can't help but…
Good to know, but it's now hard to compare to the novel, since this mountain mystery and mental trauma were not in it. We're treading the unknown waters here.

Yea, they want us to be questioning. But the mystery stands in the way of the leads relationship. Personally, I'm mainly for the mystery here, don't really care about romance so far, not digging it because of the above reason. But I hope they won't drag the mystery for most of the drama either, that'd just get boring and convoluted, and romance will suffer. There'll need to be a healing stage and a final resolution stage, which shouldn't be rushed.
I was thinking over why I still can't get into the romance part of this drama. Like, at all. And after seeing ML getting angry after he learned that FL ordered the kidnappers herself, I'm thinking it's because of lack trust. And it's not just that ML can't trust FL yet. I, as the audience, can't trust FL as well.
She looks like she means well, but she lies like she breathes. It's even unclear whether she lies knowingly, or whether she's confused because of her messed up mind. She plots nefarious multi-layered plans, but at the same time is cheerfully going around with an innocent smile.
It all makes everything she does look fake and untrustworthy. I think until everything is revealed about that mountain mystery and her condition in front of ML, and she faces what had really happened, I just won't be able to get invested in their relationship.
I feel kinda sorry for ML here, he looks like he likes her already, but with FL it's just so unclear atm. Especially considering there's also guilt over that decree and plain gratitude for getting her off that mountain that are involved.
Of course maybe I'm overthinking it and FL actress's just acting kinda fakey, but I somehow doubt it. Looks very deliberate.
So, FL's father was responsible for the missing edict? He took it from FL's mother? Also, what sort of military man would entrust such an important document to a defensless woman? Was she supposed to deliver it in secret? Missing information again, but FL's father is practically confirmed trash. Is he on her "straw doll" list too, lol?
Honestly, besides chasing after fl knowing she's married and he's married, everything else he's done is fair enough,…
I can't find anything to sympathize with here. He could have gone a lot of different ways about his life's goal, but chose the worst. As soon as a character kills innocents while having other options, I'm no longer interested in any justifications. Just plain unlikable all around.
Honestly, besides chasing after fl knowing she's married and he's married, everything else he's done is fair enough,…
He totally is delulu about FL. And you can understand it or not, it doesn't change the fact that he totally is obsessing over revenge and power in an evil way. These things make him an unfixable trash. He doesn't look like he's gonna learn and desist. It seems like it's been a trait since childhood. There's like no single positive trait about the guy. So none of what I wrote is untrue.
Also, what 4 people? You mean 3 other marquis's cronies in parallel to the fat guy? Those were killed on the emperor's orders by ML's men. And they were about to shoot that fat guy as well, but FL beat them to it.
can someone tell me why the ML has grey hair in some BTS ? And they go back to the mountain?
FL's gonna get into another falling from a cliff accident and be missing for a while. He'll worry about her too much while searching for her and his hair will turn grey.
Honestly, besides chasing after fl knowing she's married and he's married, everything else he's done is fair enough,…
They've shown that he'd do anything and trample over anybody to become emperor. And then he'd do whatever he wants and take whatever and whomever he wants. There's no moral compass in this guy, he's just an evil obsessive wreck. Just to differentiate, if he was the main character, would you still be rooting for him? Knowing he kills innocent people, like that investigator official, for his revenge? There's a line you just don't cross and he's already done so.
I'm watching this drama whilst questioning myself.on whether I should continue 🤔Now I like Bai Lu and Cheng…
I agree about the old villains. Blank faced or angry most of the time. Not enough moustache twirling nefariousness. Actors could be doing better. SML is just trash, he was written like that, the actor can't do much here.
Sigh, that SML character is unfixable. Even with his backstory revealed, they still managed to make him look like obsessive delulu trash, lol. Obsessing over FL, obsessing over his taken away inheritance. I told ya'll he can't be allowed to become emperor by any means, it was obv straight away. Hopefully they gonna off him in the end, the guy's incorrigible. And SFL needs to divorce that trash, unless she ruins her life by trying to fix him.
Few weeks ago, same like you, I almost gave up at episode 6. I commented about it and people here were not happy.…
Yea, main problem here is they talk a lot about things they gonna do and not doing much. Lots of empty yapping in general.
-Where's FL's Joseon era villain arc? We were only shown her maidservant arc and only 2 episodes left. -Where's FL's career growth in ML's company? She did like 1 commercial total. -Where are any noticable improvements in FL's life? She still lives on the roof, wandering aimlessly and seemingly forgetting all about that goal to become successfull and independent.
I think writers just got lost in the romance sauce, forgetting about what they were trying to say in the earlier episodes.
I'm on episode 6 and I'm about to give up on it. In my opinion, it's one of those shows that starts off really…
It doesn't really get better. At this point I even think FL's previous drama about an actor and a journalist was way better, and that one too had problems, lol.
Man, this went down the drain fast. Such a bait and switch with promo trailers. The leads aren't villains, they didn't show anything about FL's life as a powerful concubine doing these supposed villainous things to get that reputation. Lots of dumb, immature stuff fluffed up by not always funny bickering dialogues. SML, SFL, aunts, grandpa - crazy trash, delulu trash, boring trash wasting screen time. Only FL's rival and FL's manager are more or less interesting to watch. What's going on with FL's soul? She gonna go back to the past? They gonna do Mr. Queen ending or Alchemy of Souls P2? I honestly dont' really care anymore...
Thankfully last week next week. When are we finally gonna get a kdrama with a good plot that is not a misleading trainwreck?
Mo Jingli : "Ali, let's run away. This thought has been on my mind for a long time."Right, just keep that…
The guy's delulu to the bone. With conviction. It's gonna be very hard to get rid of him, he probably will have to die and nothing of value'd be lost, lol.
But I hope they won't drag the mystery for most of the drama either, that'd just get boring and convoluted, and romance will suffer. There'll need to be a healing stage and a final resolution stage, which shouldn't be rushed.
