MOTHER His mother who was too focused on her career and even neglected her own son and her marriage all these years. Her marriage started to fall apart because her husband thinks she has been having an affair all these years which keeps getting worse when she openly meets a guy, goes to dinners with him, receive gifts, have gone abroad for work with him too not giving a shit what her husband might think and even her son has seen her going in someone's car while he was crying to stop her. She may have succeeded in her career but failed both as a wife and mother.
FATHER His dad who probably could have gathered courage years back and talked things with her but decided not to do it and rather focus more on being a doctor and treating her coldly. Even he wasn't a perfect father who was there for his son everytime but atleast their own relation is far better than what CSH has with his mom. His dad loves his wife but keeps getting his heart broken everytime he sees her enjoying and laughing with some other man.
Rarely you get to see FL's having ex boyfriend whom you can't hate but actually understand them. Even their closure was done so well. It was quite a healing episode of course other than CSH's family.
Looks like CSH will be needing SR again just like in past when he went through painful times.

Indirectly he is responsible for his brother's injury and the heartbreak that happened after he saw Shin and Sae Yan in the car. Even if Shin didn't want these things to happen, he just screwed things up for his brother and now trying to force his feelings on the girl his brother loves and manipulating her till the point of forcing a kiss on her in front of him.
Just when I thought the twists are done, the preview confused me even more. Hopefully in next ep things are cleared of what really went down in the past.

Till now ML was the one burning in jealousy and now he will do the same to her during next ep then in last 2 eps maybe there will be a proper confrontation.

It would have been better if this was avoided and it the story was simply two childhood friends with failed relationships and exhausting lives meet again and develop feelings for another. They don't have to shove childhood love trope in the drama.

Dude had a beautiful gf but ruined his own relationship because he is too weak to move on from his unrequited first love. I didn't blame Tae Hui for dumping him as no one would want a bf who loves some other woman while being with them.

I do get why Seok Ryu's mom is doing all this. Her entire life she has lived in poverty and have been taunted and teased a lot by her fellow mates. She only wants her daughter to not go through what she has suffered but in this process she forgot the most important thing "her daughter's happiness". She keeps letting her own mental scars get to her and ends up hurting both her daughter and her husband.
Mo Eum and Dan Ho's story is so cute to watch. Tae Hui is still one cool ex-gf who knows the situation but never plays dirty tricks to get back with Seung Hyo.
