And then at Hanbin, Luan Nian was waiting downstairs for her in the FREEZING COLD, and they were talking like a divorced couple 😭😭 Then he literally said that their breakup felt like a divorce. I CAN’T. And when Luan Nian kept trying to call Flora after the breakup because of Aurora… all those missed calls and him saying that he missed her… 😭😭 He was suffering SO BAD. That scene actually reminded me of Never Ending Summer, when Lu Xi Xiao missed Zhou Wan so much after their breakup that he imagined her, closed his eyes, hugged her, and danced with her. 🥹💔 And then his friends filmed him just like they filmed Luan Nian in The Early Spring. I swear, the parallels destroyed me 😭😭 Overall, I loved this drama, but I REALLY think it needed more episodes. 24 episodes could have been amazing if they had given the story enough time to breathe. Yh, I honestly agree with you. I feel like they didn’t really consider this drama seriously enough as a live-action adaptation. It took them so long just to get a male lead, and there still hasn’t been any proper confirmation. They even considered Lee Jong Suk at one point before choosing the female lead.
Honestly, I would have preferred another actress for Mingyeong. I really miss the vibe of the older K-dramas, so I was hoping they would bring in an actress who could give us that feeling again. But it seems like the production team isn’t taking the adaptation as seriously as they should, and that honestly scares me 😭 I’m also really worried about the 8-episode format. I think everyone needs to slow down and wait for the actual investigation before deciding who is guilty or innocent.
