I haven't finished it yet, but I agree with so many things you said. Instead of being called "Eternal Fragrance," it should be called "Eternal Suffering," because that's what I feel every time I force myself to watch a new episode. Like you, I hate leaving things unfinished, but it's been so difficult to follow this incredibly boring story. So much so that I've done something I've never done before: watch it at 1.5x speed with the dubbing from my country (I always watch dramas in their original language because I enjoy them that way). But I had to resort to certain "tricks" to make the experience a little more bearable. The characters convey absolutely nothing, the story is incredibly repetitive, and they do the same thing over and over again. It's ridiculous. I've even seen low-budget dramas with better plots than this one. It's truly awful. I know I'll finish it someday, but it won't be anytime soon, because I absolutely hate it.

I doubt it, at least personally I loved The Trust; but I think I'll be able to enjoy this version, just as I've enjoyed all the adaptations, although I don't think I'll like it more than The Trust.

The Trust was beautiful, I watched it and thanks to it I watched the donghua, the donghua q and read the manhua; and regarding Hao Wei, the accusations against him were false, it's sad that they ruined his career unfairly 😔

I'm so happy to find people who feel the same way I do; I felt so out of place for being the only one not loving this drama. I can't stand that all the characters are evil and obsessed with the main character anymore. It makes no sense and it gets repetitive and boring. I am going to finish it because I don't like leaving series unfinished, but I'm struggling to keep going. I'm even watching it at double speed to stay awake. But as soon as I finish this awful ordeal, I'm going to erase it from my memory and pretend it never existed.
