Flower of Evil starts out like a normal crime series with a side plot, but very soon delves from that and becomes action packed, fast paced and keeping you on the edge of your seat. You start rooting for characters you never thought you would, the plot twists are sometimes sudden but well explained. Despite all the action, FoE manages to balance it with happier or more emotional moments, exploring the main characters well and changing them, as they discover themselves. This makes the action even more impactful, as you become attached to the characters and what they have build up.
