Ep 13 and 14 were again very good! The whole team is doing an amazing job up to now, keeping us all entertained…
Jing Tian pulled off this MZH character so brilliantly. No cutie acts but with her charms and smile. Every time she talks sweetly to Lord Ding, he is flattered by her praises.
Wow. Thank you for all that. I totally did not get that the mute is the Princess's guy. Was it something I missed?…
Yes, Deputy Yun was wounded by the eagle/ hawk claw. Apparently, the attempt was to catch him, not to kill him. DY recovered but was eventually wounded by the needles and fell off the cliff and died, according to MZH's logic.

The eagle/ hawk claw weapon was found to have caused injuries on Deputy Yun before he died. He was the father of the courtesan who was poisoned to death at XiaonYin Pleasure Palace in Episode 2.
LD is looking for the weapon so when Zhi Mo saw the mute slave and his claw, he told Lord Ding.
In Episode 3, MZH thinks the owner of the claw wanted to capture Deputy Yun, not to kill him. It was the needles that killed the Deputy Yun.
So, the mute is either a nice guy or a bad guy. This actor has always been the villain in most C-costume dramas. He was in Princess Wei Young as a villain too.
I think her fiance, the mute slave with a hawk claw glove is the one who tried to catch Deputy Yuan, the father of the girl who was poisoned to death in Episode 2. Yuan was the guy who was thought to have betrayed Lord Ding.
This is how empires fall through time immemorial. But then again, there have been tigers that have seized the…
Lord Ding will definitely support his nephew. It's just how the Princess turns out to be a reigning monarch in one of the trailers is puzzling.
Her fiance didn't die in the war. He is the mute slave from the Northern Liang state. The 3rd Prince of NL said he had released the slave and wished to see the wolves tear themselves apart.
I like the pace of the drama. It's very fluid compared to the novel. The NL state visit is in Chapter 33 of the novel.
The Dowager Empress gave Lord Ding a new outfit. She and the emperor exchanged glances. Does it give us a hint that the outfit is poisoned?
I have turned into a paranoid audience now.
Like Zhang Wan Yi in Lost You Forever with his emotional scenes.
The drama is getting exciting.
