He actually set up the alter to pray for his lordship to be successful in romance.

Lord Ding and Zhi Jian looked stunned when they saw the alter and heard his prayers! Hahaha.

In the novel, Lord Ding is said to be between 26 and 27. MZH is only 18.

All it takes is a good script, blocking, and acting and you can have chemistry radiate without even a kiss.

The age gap is evident in this drama but that's the best part. Lord Ding just lets MZH 'fool' him around while he is keeping her in check. Zhi Jian is meanwhile exasperated by MZH's tricks on LD.

Agree. Men like smart women and their equal. And have compassion too.

In Episode 2, MZH says if she cares about politics, he will not have had the energy to interrogate her on that day.

He stares at her with admiration and respect. Her compassion wins him over.
