I am worried that she might destroy the drama, The Rise of Ning, starring Zhang Wan Yi as the ML. I like his acting but if there is a load of shitty cutie acts from the FL, I will probably ignore it.

I dropped The Longest Promise after a few episodes due to the FL doing the cutie acts and once LYF was released.

I dislike cutie acts by FLs in C-dramas. They are simply nonsense.

Poor Chang Xuan is a Yandere.

The only consolation is Zhang Wan Yi as Chang Xuan is a superb decision by the casting team.

CX is a ruthless man. If he wants to get rid of a woman in his harem, he just does it.

XY's life with CX could be similar to the life of Empress Yin Li Hua , the wife of Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty.

XY was just like her grandmother who was carefree before her marriage to the Yellow Emperor. Later on, she became miserable for being jealous of other women in her husband's life.

So, if XY chose to be with CX, she might not end up like her grandmother because CX and her had gone through a lot from the moment both lost their parents.

In the novel, Xin Yue and other women were casted aside following their marriage to CX while he spent every night with XY and her grandfather. And he would not hesitate to take action against those who harm XY.

This is an insight on how XY would dominate CX's life forever so I don't think XY would be miserable if she had chosen CX.

We know it's a good drama so we rate it accurately ie. 10/10

CX never showed his emotions to anyone except XY.

Xin Yue only realised that she had never known him at all following their marriage.

He was a complete stranger to her.

My head says Chang Xuan but as a woman myself, my preference is a single-lady guy. So, I'd choose TSJ for a peaceful life like the one in Qing Shui Town.

One of the saddest scenes in the drama.

Xl's desperation to reach XY really hit the audience hard.

Another scene where he was losing his composure in front of Chang Xuan after seeing XY's lifeless body on the platform. TCJ was able to pull off this scene brilliantly.

I am always sceptical about the acting skills of trained dancers/ singers but this guy is really amazing.

What did Yang Zi say about her collaboration with Zhang Wan Yi

He did. That's why he rushed to Xiao Yao immediately. A very sad scene. Imagine you knowing that your beloved is being butchered.

Although it was hilarious in Episode 9 where Wen Xiao Liu purposely injured himself to harm Chang Xuan during his fight against XL.
