XL is a strategist and a warrior so XY will never be together with him because he will never leave the battle field.

XY wants a peaceful environment like the village she is currently living. She never wanted to leave the village but for CX, she decided to return to her princess status.

Yangzi turned out to be awesome in this series. Her acting is so natural. Plus all three male leads are excellent actors so this series is a big budget C-drama. No wonder the audience are hooked to this series.
