You should try reading this novel, Against the Current, which has turned into a C-costume drama starring Liu Xueyi and Tan Song Yuen.

The ML is no girl's dream hero and he is a scoundrel. Hahaha.

It's not anyone's cup of tea, TBH. I find it rather confusing and yet, I have so far managed to laugh at the silly scenes. Especially, the dynamite scene.

Liu Yi Tong hasn't made me annoyed with her pouts. I like her acting in this drama.

LYN? So far, I feel like watching Wei Shao in another universe. That guy playing Wei Liang is still his assistant in this drama. Is this a joke by the casting team? Hahaha.

However, the pairing is rather perfect.

Honestly, Liu Yi Tong's funny scenes with LYN in this drama aren't as annoying as SZE and LYN's in TPOB.

They are in fact very funny.

I like the dynamite scene. That has been the best funniest scene along with LYT catching on LYN's robe when he tried to fly away from her in Episode 6.

So far, it's been entertaining. I can't wait for Liu Xueyi's next new drama with Tan, the girl from the Sword and the Brocade.
