wait Ye Li is a transmigrator in the novel!!! that is allowed concept in C Drama land but as of now I did not really catch any references of her being one or is it only in the novel?
Having got more context , I am not minding changes in the politics part and how Ye LI handles her revenge but I don't know even when in the drama I see more feelings from Prince Ding's side i dont see much of that passion/romance between the two. I don't know why! Although I am not sure if I like the whole I care noone but you types like in the novel as well :P
So Ye LI does not have any mental trauma like in the drama then I suppose!

In episode 23 and so far I am finding the story intriguing although the chemstry between leads is not much. It is not bad but it is not great! But I loved the background score. Very different and commendable in this one. Specially initial episodes ! A question for who have read the novel? How true to it is this adaptation? Story wise and character wise?

She gave food just before going to Lishan Mountain you mean? But in episode 11 they show Mo Jingli and her together in Lishan Mountain and she is much younger there than where she gives him food.

I am not a fan of Bai Lu per say but I am enjoying this drama for the story and the characters. It is interesting so far i.e until 10 episodes i have watched . I must say her acting too is way better here than other dramas.

So basically after a year or so she went to Lishan Academy , it was closed and somewhere around the time all were killed and she was all alone.
But I still have one question. If her giving food was before she left for Lishan then when did the ML rescue her? I thought it was on the way to Lishan. So I thought FL did so much for ML was because he rescued her. Sequence of incidents does not match that right?

1. So FL was 13 when she left Ye mansion with her mother to LIshan mountain. And her mother died before reaching Lishan is what I understand. Is that correct?
2. They say last eight years Lishan Academy is closed. That means as soon as she went there it was closed and she is 21 or she is older? Did they not marry much earlier in earlier times. I am still in epi 8 so if it will come up in future than pls let me know.
3. If Lishan Academy was closed in last eight years when did she come down to the city to give ML the food through which he survived in prison? Was that whole LIshan Aacdemy closing and ML's family downfall result of one single sequence of incidents?

I have a few questions to anyone who has answers. Please help me out. WIll ask in spoilers below.

Am I the only one who expected to see CY flaunting her dressing up as a lady in front of XZ than the princess? I wanted to see his reaction as he had never seen her like that!

Even Ning’s Asthma magically vanished after that lady caressed her chest once ! She did not have any problem after while in initial episodes it was told CY has to work hard for Ning’s medicine as well

Mr Zhao landing on YZ's lap and asking if he is okay in the third epi is hilarious. Their expression is so on point.
By the way, a question to people well versed in Mandarin. What does CY call Mr. Zhao and his wife actually? I am not fan of subtitles changing the addressing to their names whenever they use terms like sister, brother etc. I get what Ning is calling CY but not what she addresses Mr Zhao and Mrs Zhao

So on point. She could have been be a great foot soldier . That does not make her weak. Heck, the very first episode she showed she is strong by saving ML. She showed how smart she is by saving ML again by hiding him from the authorities. There was no need of this unrealistic push in the second half

Yessss ! I loved both his and her entry scene ! Both were amazing! The way she keeps looking at him turning her head back with big smile until she can no more when she is entering with fanfare 😍😍
Bathtub scene , her running to him in the alley ! So many scenes I loved but unlike first half it’s scattered around !
And the costume of them both when they enter the capital is so so good. Kudos to the costume designer !

Haha ! first half I am sure I will watch atleast a couple of more times within 2026 I am sure.:P it’s just so good and the more I watch I notice so many little things ! In the second half may be only a very few selected scenes.

I could not relate to them anymore after what he did with his foster mother and I could not care less why YQQ had to poison her with so much love and care ! Too many unnecessary QM and YQQ scenes instead of using that precious moments to show more details into the plot and humour not landing in second half brought my rating from 10 to 9 !

If not kids at the least I also wanted Ning and XZ interaction and CY and Ning reunion at last and also the bird !
I would prefer that then overly extended pity party of YQQ poisoning QM

In alternate ending did WY get his lady love though ? The way he mentions your aunt has prepared something to XZ I assumed he did !
