I haven't watched HL or TFF, but based on what I've heard about them, this story seems to be more TFF vibes. Mostly because FL and ML are going through heavy stuff in their personal lives. There's some ghosting from both of them unintentionally.

Is there going to be romance? From the description and genre tags there seems to be none.

They broke up because ML said some harsh words towards FL when she was depressed after her treatment and he went back to America at the end of ep 10.

I am a bit confused Is Hyeon Jun, Brian? because Seok Ryu said that Brian didn't know as much Korean but Hyeon Jun doesn't seem to struggle speaking it and she also doesn't call him Brian and seems to not hate him as much as we would have thought when you find you partner cheating. Is it just me overthinking this?

Yes I enjoyed watching it. Especially the first half of the movie but near the end it gets messy.

Are you talking about her leaving town in the description? Because she left town for personal reason and you'll find out pretty early why. I personally don't think she is heartless.
