To be honest I made a mistake of watching the original and korean version back to back. Thinking about it, this drama is not bad. but if you watch the original version recently, ugh I can't escape the comparison tendencies. I couldn't enjoy because I keep comparing it. Should have watched it quite far apart

The thing with remake is quite tricky, the original fans would expect for the remake to fix the problems the original had. To be fair, they did fix some things, like the ending and the time travel logic. But they kept the old original problem (like the airplane) and added new problem (weak characterization of minju and ingyu) along with lessening family aspect.

As you can see, I'm really trapped in comparison whirlpool ugh. I can't even rate A Time Called You now because I know I can't give it justice. I'll do it after watching it again a few months later...

I watched 20th Century Girl with my friends on gmeet and damn one by one they keep leaving, it was quite boring, we ended up ending the meeting early coz nobody is interested. Damn we should have picked some classic rather than settling for the most recent movie

Agree I hate the fact they make her to be some kind of villain. And I imagine being trapped in the world of memories of HYX, where she lives happily with WQS must have felt akin to a fulfilled fantasy to her, and when she returned to her body it must have felt like falling to hell. Talking about it, she is actually a victim, she lost her body, and now she needs to hear other people comparing her to the one who got her body, like she doesn't deserve to be the one living in it.

yeahh the song really convey that nostalgic feeling and their meeting was so cute, I was so happy, it patched up my expected new beginning for LZW and HYX, so happy aaaa

I actually already watched it back to back hahahah, the original first then a few hours later the korean version. I think the one we watched first is gonna make the most impression after all. In the same argument, I thought the korean was less emotional since the romance and tragedy between Yeonjun and Junhee were so muted and the story focuses more on the love triangle with Ingyu. And I hardly connect with Minju character although I love Chen Yunru so much. So yeah definitely should watch these two shows far apart. Watching it back to back, I regret it, now I can't enjoy the second one I watched because of constant comparison :(

Even after a sequel, Chen Yu Ru is still so bad at acting ahahhaha
To be honest I'm quite sad Chen Yu Ru got a sad life in the movie, but I'm glad that the ending hinted that she might have happy ending with Mo Jun Jie

Yeah especially since the tape was a belonging of his friend, no way WQS would give it out so easily. Idk what's going on in that part. But I still had fun since I can see LZW and HYX being together. The beginning of the movie was my favorite, kept squealing very time I see LZW and HYX together ahahhaha

The characters have different feeling? The original ML in taiwanese version was really goofy, naughty and funny character. The korean version ML is uh quite calm? I guess? Good boy, good at studying kind of guy. Actually he seems like that cliche perfect Kdrama guy
