A GODDAMN MASTERPIECE!!!

After much contemplation on whether to watch The Good Bad Mother or not, I gave in, and boy I was not disappointed even for the tiniest bit! An absolute gem of a drama! The plot was very promising from the start and the actor's phenomenal acting added more edge to the drama. From the beginning till the end, the plot was so well-written and connected, I just loved it...been a long time since I watched such a beautiful satisfying drama. I don't really have anything to complain about this show, the actors really didn't disappoint with their performances to not let us feel a whole rollercoaster ride of emotions. One minute you would be laughing with your whole heart out and the next minute you would be crying a bucket...you never know which emotion might hit you next...such a good feeling drama :') The main leads definitely outdid themselves but I loved Sam Sik and the twins (Seo Jin and Yeo Jin) characters the most. I think without them it wouldn't have been that awesome, they really are the true stars of the show!

Some may have felt the last two episodes were a bit fast-paced, as we all wanted to have 16 episodes but I guess 14 was a good number too. As the drama was more about the relationship between the mother and his son, I really like how they focused more on showing us the depth of their relationship so that you could sympathize with both characters and understand where they were coming from. Glad unlike other dramas they didn't drag the court scenes for the whole 2-3 last episodes and just got done with it as Kang Ho already had spent half of his years being a prosecutor finding out the evidence...it would have been truly a drag if they focused more on that as the evidence were already right on the table and simply trailing the same plot would have been a waste of such a potential drama.

The drama definitely stuck to its genre for the whole 14 episodes and I believe I'll be remembering the characters and the show for a long long time! Absolutely well done by the whole cast <3

Oh also, the setting and the whole aesthetic of the drama were so wholesome and cute!! such a cute drama <333

After building up the drama about DoJun for 15 episodes and suddenly killing him off towards the end was a bit lousy writing. All this time I was expecting to finally see Dojun buy Soonyang and sit on the throne that he has been fighting for his whole life. Suddenly shifting the plot towards Hyun Woo for one last episode when the entire audience was invested in the story about DoJun was pointless to me. But as Hyun Woo mentioned towards the end the story wasn't about possession or time traveling rather it was about his repentance towards DoJun and himself. So I guess this whole time the plot was from Hyun Woo's perspective, which kind of makes me not dislike the entire drama just for one episode which didn't go as I expected. I mean we all kind of knew DoJun was dead but we still kinda hoped for some sort of miracle lol. Overall, I think it was a great watch, the twists after twists and all the mind games played by the protagonist, and not to forget the outstanding acting and the beautiful relationship between the grandfather and his grandson, so damn wholesome! If I would ever give this drama a rewatch it would only be because of the grandfather and grandson duo. In the end, it wasn't about revenge but rather justice for DoJun and his loved ones. Everyone in Jin's family kind of got the taste of their own medicine which was very satisfactory to watch. But what was the need for identical characters and how come nobody ever noticed how similar they both looked? :/

Definitely worth a watch, don't understand the bad reviews though?

I started watching this drama on a whim but as the story progressed it was already my favorite drama to wait for on the weekends. I really liked the characters and how the drama had the right amount of comedy, romance, and drama in it. I think the actors did a splendid job portraying their characters making us mad and cry at the same time. Coming to the part viewers were complaining about, I don't think it was ever about Dr. Cha ending up with who at all. It was her story to find out about her own self, learn about her own potential, and most importantly give herself the love she deserved. Since her young age when it was time for her to explore and learn about things on her own, she was already busy taking care of her family while her priority should've been her own self. Dr Roy's character was just like a guide for her to find herself once again amidst all the chaos she had been through, sure Dr. Roy was the greenest walking flag and she obviously deserved someone like him after all she went through but considering she never had been on her own, it was her choice to walk alone on this journey.

I think the writers did a good job with the endings of In Ho and Seung Hee too, they were definitely too toxic for each other, I'm glad the writers didn't make them end up together and rather gave them proper redemption arcs. I think the main three characters of this drama all needed to be on their own to understand themselves better, poor children had been through a lot since their college days just because of In Ho's indecisiveness since the beginning.

I am glad they didn't force the relationship arc of the main leads to end them up with their significant others, it was definitely not some teen love drama where you need to find a significant other to be called a happy ending drama. In terms of romance, I think we got plenty of cute and relatable moments from Jeong Min and So Ra's characters. I think it was a good watch for sure, would've loved to see Dr Cha and Dr Roy ending up together but it wasn't just the case where she needs to have someone by her side to feel like she is loved, there were enough people around Jung Sook to love and cheer for her at the end.
