I absolutely love her acting! She has the best expressions and her acting comes across as very natural. I also enjoy her choice of characters, strong fearless women with their own personalities. Dramas like Master of my Own, Flight to You and As Beautiful as you are perfect examples of the hero's journey. In each she embarks on an adventure, is victorious in a crisis and is transformed. What makes me rewatch her dramas is also the detail that comes across in her acting, her movements seem very purposeful and not careless even if it's a fun scene. One of the reasons why I appreciate Chinese dramas is many are very natural, they show us characters living out stories in mundane settings. And they also demonstrate intimacy in the true sense of the word, showing closeness and connection between characters. The scene in As Beautiful as you where the leads are practicing their handwriting is a perfect example of a very real life situation. I haven't watched any of her newer dramas since 2024 yet, I'm trying to pace myself so I can enjoy them slowly.
