Review
Just finished watching the last episode of Kiddnap: The Series, and to be honest, I’m pretty disappointed.
I’ve been following the series from the beginning, and I had high expectations, especially with Ohm in the lead. He’s a fantastic actor, and I was excited to see him in a new role. Unfortunately, his talent feels completely wasted here. The storyline didn’t give him much to work with, and the character development just wasn’t there. It’s such a shame because Ohm really deserves a script that highlights his skills and depth as an actor.
As for the other lead actor... well, I’m not going to be too harsh since he's still new to the scene. I hope he improves in future projects, but in this series, his performance didn’t stand out to me. It’s hard to connect with his character when the writing and direction don't give him much to work with.
I’m a huge fan of BL series, but sometimes it feels like these kinds of shows are just a waste of time. There’s so much potential in this genre, but when it’s executed poorly, it can be kind of embarrassing to watch. The storylines feel formulaic, and it’s frustrating when a series doesn’t live up to its potential.
But hey, there’s always hope for the next one, right? The upcoming GMMTV lineup looks promising, and I’m really hoping the next series will be better. I’ve got my fingers crossed for a fresh, engaging story with great chemistry between the leads. The bar is high, but let’s see if they can deliver something worth watching!
