It was mistake by director. he wanted to give easter egg. 1. There are two elders left. They definitely not killed the other. 2. ML was in trial 3. Other brothers are kinda greedy and obsessed with post. Gong Shang Jue looked smart in first few episode. But he become childish. Brothers acting is more of distraction to make anyone thing they might be involved. 4. Two assasin girls definitely not involved because they have given different role. 5. Others are family and i do not see them have any interest in killing elder.
Why Elder is killed? Create confusion perhaps or he find out who killed sword weilder.

Actually its a misdirection of director. Why create chaos when assasin is out there killing? The fight between brothers dont make sense. Its artificial.
I know who killed elder and swordweilder. Director unknowingly gave the hint. guess in spoiler. I know who it is. There are only few people there. There is one odd one out.
This is best wuxia drama in my opinion. Ever night was first but this one choreography is very good. High end killer cgi. Also all actors beautiful. Acting is impeccable. There is zero fault with this drama 12/10 for me.
