Honestly, I enjoyed the drama. Although, there were something that I wish could've been executed better and explored more—especially the ending but for the runtime of 8ep I get why it was the way it was, though I wish they all would start making dramas in 16ep format again. But oh well.
The only problem I had was with Se-A and Na-Ri. I was just constantly wishing Se ah to stop giving chances to people who didn't deserve it, and Na Ri to fucking grow up and open your your eyes to reality. But weirdly it also makes sense—they were both kind of like a reflection of the previous best friends.
And the most beautiful thing were Se-A and Geon-U relationship. It was weirdly wholesome and healthy from current dramas standards—which seems to have been on decline in current dramas—especially from horror standard. It was refreshing to see their love for each other without any toxicity.
It had potential in the start, it was going great but then it started to get flat in the middle. It was almost like they couldn't decide what to do with this drama, and what genre they wanted it to be. And by the end the reveal is utterly lame because there’s almost zero build-up towards it, it's a reveal for the sake of reveal. And the the backstory for all of the character is utterly unfleshed, like they didn't even bother trying to make all of it worth it. And the reasons for their situation for most of them is utterly unfair especially the main leads—whose characters are utterly flat as well.
All in all it had potential but then it went down the drain, the only reason I finished it is because I'm big on horror genre and watch each and everything within it—whether worth it or not.
God the romance is so so bad that it made me almost drop the drama no matter the unnecessary overhype. They have no chemistry whatsoever with each other. It's like they're together for the sake of being together with no point whatsoever or reason. The whole drama was only interesting because of the supporting cast and the past flashbacks. I'm saying this as a fan who loves the main characters other work.
This drama was definitely fun to watch, everything was good it was a light-hearted drama which I very much appreciate considering the heavy-on-plot dramas I've been watching. it was a good escape.
I have to say Ryu Kyung so is the most sane-insane in this bat shit insane family, the female lead has no backbone and is crying all the time while blaming others and questioning why it's her that it's happening to like bruh? had she stopped yapping and tried to listen to others one time she would have known why. last of all the rating is justified I have seen better drama with "twists" that are mind-blowing without such "twist" in this drama and are somehow rated even lower!
Reading the comments I was expecting a bit too much or maybe it's because I have watched too many crime thriller that I could figure out all twists before the reveal. Either way it's good nothing exceptional.
I have nothing against slow paced/burn drama if they build up to something good but this drama finale made me feel the build up was for nothing. Their death didn't made me feel sad nor did them living made me feel happy. maybe i was expecting something bigger to happen after all the things but the ending felt kinda disappointing to me.
