Finaly started this after watching Sword and Beloved because someone recommended more Cheng Yi dramas 🤭❤️ and I couldn’t resist this one since Liu XueYi is the SML 😩♥️. I love it every time Liu XueYi smiles and those dimples appear 🫠❤️ but his slicked back wig?! Not so much lol.
59 eps is a lot, but because both the ML and SML are my favorites it's worth it👌. It’s also fun seeing familiar faces, some of the actors look so young hehe
Only watched 4 eps, and the ML’s heart is already about to explode because of the FL 😆🤣. She’s so naive and sweet, he can’t help but to like her lol.
I genuinely felt so sorry for our FL. The last scene of Ep14, where he tried to attack her, was quite disturbing she looked truly terrified. That scene didn’t really add anything meaningful to the story, and I’m not sure why Cdramas often include moments like that. I understand the ML was in his inner demon realm or whatever.
But still… Overall, the rest of the drama is really good though...

I'm so glad you liked it! The first couple of episodes were also a bit boring lol but the story really picks up later. It's such a fun drama, especially after watching so many heavy ones ❤️ I also watched a short drama called Oops! Almost Broke Up 🤭♥️ and I absolutely loved it!

This was honestly the sweetest time loop drama I've ever seen! Perfect for a light binge watch, especially if you love time themed stories. The FL is absolutely stunning as always, and her acting is top-notch 🤭❤️. She and the ML have such lovely chemistry they fit so well together! I didn’t check the full cast, so seeing Dai Gao Zheng in Episode 8 was such a fun surprise 🤣🤣❤️ His role was unexpectedly hilarious.

So far, there isn’t much action or many fight scenes, just a few. The story mainly focuses on cultivation and on finding a cure for the ML, since the poison he was given damaged his spiritual core. It’s more like a journey to search for the cure. They also have a list of prescriptions(ingredients) they need.

I’m not sure what your preference is, so I’d say watch a couple of episodes of each drama and see which one grabs you. Personally, I love this one more the story is sweet and fun, the FL is cute and smart, and the ML is well written, especially if you like when he falls in love first 🤭 I love the acting of Ding Yu Xi and he's one of my favourites actor but didn't click with FFL. The FL here may seem naive, but she’s actually clever and handles trouble well.
After finishing 10 episodes, I’d say it’s not low-budget more like mid-budget😅. Not too choppy, the costumes are pretty, and there are so many actors and extras. No low-budget production would afford that. The story is enjoyable too, the first 3–4 episodes were a bit slow, but it gets much better afterward 👏❤️
Finished episodes 9&10 another cute episodes! Hong Yi looked so beautiful in ep9 and his new costume is so pretty 🤭❤️. I love tropes where the male lead falls in love first 🫠❤️. I'm really enjoying his love journey lol. The female lead is adorable 😍
