At times one’s experienced strange event which cannot be explained. Today was a day to rewatch last 2 episodes. Two crows flew next to me in a distance. One was while driving and it flew following my car side by side. While the other one while I was walking to the mall, it flew next to me for a little while. For episode 40 I watched twice. Once was to watch wholeheartedly (Netflix) with no interruptions. I cried wholeheartedly as well. Once was to watch to write interpretation of the story and thoughts/ feelings (Youku).

Tantai Jin invited Li Susu to raise a toast to all the sins, then deaths in the world. After the two drank the last glass of wine which was a toast for together. The 3rd toast of bridal wine held a meaning for TanTaiJin?
Tantai Jin restored the Devil Palace back to the former appearance. Tantai Jin told Li Susu that all good and evil are caused by karma. As long as there are sins in the world, the demon god will never perish. (Note:- Subtitle from Netflix- Only when the All-in- Distress Way is opened, the world in chaos, all living beings can return to the same place/ Found a recap review from site- Path of compassion is shared and the world is turbid can all living beings truly return to the peace. Li Susu summoned Chong Yu, and TanTaiJin figured that she planned to burn Chong Yu to release her divine power. TanTaiJin always smart and figures things quickly. I feel TanTaiJin may feel frustrated hearing these words from her. Even though it was his plan to caused hatred, I still feel it was hurtful to hear from her. LiSuSu initiated the Incarnation-Abandoning Array (Sacrifice formation, found it was called another title) to sacrifice herself and this even hurt TanTaiJin more. Gongye Jiwu came with all the sects of the Immortal Sect (CGI of the amount of humans kinda fake. This was one of the scene they need to improve. Sorry….). Gongye Jiwu was obsessed in killing TanTaiJin didn’t care about LiSuSu would be alive or dead. Why every time when they turn into devil, below their eyes will be filled with red eye shadow? TanTaiJin was around his eyes? I guess that there are different between someone with double eye-lids and someone with none. Before the power touched TanTaiJin, he already let out the sound “hmmmmmk” once in pain. Was it suppose to touch him before he sounded in pain? Or maybe I mistaken and heard it. Sending her to be punished by thunderbolts. Closing his eyes feeling heartache for her when saw her suffering.
Here comes Gongye Jiwu being all evil absorbing power from everyone from the sect. Gongye Jiwu had gone awry. TanTaiJin sacrificed and threw his marrow-washing seal (I need to google from recap sites for the title of each formation and so on. As I always said I need a dictionary. Thank you for the viewers who write recap but reading so many recap was tiring lol lol) at Gongye Jiwu, absorb the black coloured power out from Gongye Jiwu. Guess he did have soft heart for him.

YeQingYu, I am so glad to see you again even though was just that few minutes protected his people. Hear we able to see him with white hair in a few seconds? LiSuSu entered the world in her heart in grief and anger, saw her mother Chuhuang and Twelve God, and then became a god. LiSuSu took TanTaiJin to the last place that was not affected by the path of compassion. She understood that what TanTaiJin really wanted was to turn her into a god and kill him. The whole scene was rather intense with sadness. Thinking that he was about to sacrifice his life, I felt I am loosing someone who was very dear to me. Heartbreaking when he said my life was hard now let you end it. LiSuSu again touched me when she willing to die with TanTaiJin. He asked her it is time to let go but she refused. Now both fully understood each other yet nothing was left except regrets. Their last conversation was really sad. That song playing at the background made it sadder.
Suddenly I was thinking these scenes where they were wired up for these scenes. Feeling worried because was dangerous and tiring in the mid air yet need to look graceful. Respect!
Li SuSu woke up in Jingguo Imperial Mausoleum (Woke up costume changed). She used her power to see Tantai Jin. The 2 tombs were engraved by TanTaiJin, one as TanTaiJin YeXiWu’s husband (guess he didn’t know if she really loved him?) and the other as YeXiWu, TanTaiJin beloved wife (He really loved him). Seeing LiSuSu cried and mourned in grief and sorrow hugging TanTaiJin’s tomb, sadden me a lot. Everything had ended and all left were regrets. Oh if the tomb was engraved after he turned into DevilGod, why he didn’t changed it to LiSuSu instead? Maybe he knew her as YeXiWu and felt more comfortable with that?
The world has finally found peace, and humans, gods, and demons were able to coexist harmoniously. LiSuSu and her daughter traveled around the world, and eventually arrived at the Mo River, reminisced her time with TanTaiJin. She told her daughter AhMi, the story about MingYe and SangJiu. Everything was perfect except that TanTaiJin was not with them in presence however, a part of him left in the Dragon scale. Actually I wish to see a mini TanTaiJin and mini LiSuSu, twins.
LiSuSu reunited with TanTaiJin, who had been reincarnated scene was not included here. What do you think was in the writer’s mind? Perhaps, he or she wanted everyone to remember such ending forever.
