This is very sad, how things are there. Hearing why and how an actor was banned really sadden me. Honestly and still feel the same, I had not started CDrama. Reason used to be because using voice actors/ actresses. Now that I had learned from others, because of all these political issues and also taken so much of my time. I will try to be more selective.

I had been sleeping at 2-3 am for dramas and need to wake up at 7am to get ready for work . I do watch other drama but I did spend a lot of time to watch one episode and read comments here lol

So much to read and understand one by one. I did remember he has a name starts with Bai but could not remember the last two words in his name. Juggle working, watching dramas and stay in this page from time to time lol I wish there are more than 24 hours a day.

Thank you for sharing that link. It is an eye-opening piece of write-up for me. I may not understand how this industry works fully because all my life as you call me a naive viewer…. I just want to enjoy the moment of each drama/ movie. I don’t want to think too much of the political issue and so on. This world is depressing enough, why bother to pick on every issue and be upset about. Each drama holds the cast/ team great efforts (They have all put in a lot of blood, sweat, and tears.)Why do we need to be judgmental over something like this. Every sentence I read twice, trying hard to get all the meaning right from this write-up, and of course bits and pieces I may not get it right as I really didn’t know how this industry works. I love dramas so I don’t see why I have to bring it down just because I do not like that specific drama(unfair of me to say do not like so I will put it as not my preference.)I am not sure if my understanding is correct but I pull out a few points to talk about. Sorry it was a long one.
“The industry needs TTEOTM to flop. Because only its failure can prove that their current approach of playing it safe, sticking to the formula works.” I feel TTEOTM had made the right decision to try such approach if I got the approach right. This is what makes the story unique. Viewers look for creative storylines and story which is not predictable. Not able to guess which direction the ending will lead to. A minute you thought they will be in love but next minute something trigger the ML or FL to have doubt.
“LBFAD built its brand with a repeatable process” Repeatable process means just another production like any normal drama? Just a drama and will be forgotten in later years? ML and FL fall in love?
“This production has an even more important mission, proving that an outside investor new to content production can break into the entertainment ecosystem with money.” Like business people who have never set a foot in this industry before and all they have is money… rich? I see that rich man buying a football team. So this is not something new in other industry as well. No?
“The conflicting emotions and subtext are the biggest selling points of this drama (but sadly most actors don't quite deliver except the ML.)” I quite agree with this statement. How many actor you able to see the differences when playing another character in the same drama. I am certain that many actors when playing different roles in different dramas, you will be able to see the similarities that that actor has when he played in a previous role. Versatile actors are very hard to come by. For me as long as the cast is decent and the story is captivating, I have no problem to watch it. However, I have a few very special actors who I pay a little more attention in.

“of course the director also has no standards when it comes to cinematography” Actually in many of the drama, its cinematography and CGI have rooms for improvement.
“I don't think this drama is created to promote the ML or to make money. Quite the opposite,…” I believe it is time to make that change if not less viewer will turn to cdrama in the future.

Read this article made me confused. Anyway, that was what I thought traffic stars give negative vibes that was why I didn’t get it when you refer LYX as one. LYX gain recognition with his acting then went into endorsement and those to me don’t count as one. Anyway I am not sure actually this was what I thought.Those who rely popularity through endorsements to me consider as one. But anyway, that was what I thought. Guess I was wrong. Being here can learn so many terms 😅😅 I even have to go search what was CP lol
