I think in Drama CX is not really blood related to XY. XY loved him only a brother although CX have feelings for her. XY's conscious real love interest throughout drama is TSJ/YSQ. In original novel, they end up together. As for XL , there's temptation moments. But both XY and him reject romance for reasons. It's just depends on our ideal ml I guess. But I personally do not find him as good love interest in such circumstances and how he had became despite the fact that he will be quite sacrificing for XY later in the story. As much as i appreciate him as a character but not as romantic life partner.

of course TSJ is our ideal man, People can have different opinion. But I see some replies in comparison with XL. So i took on the topic. XL is selfless ...but so is Jing actually ..depending situation ..

Um ...this my own opinion only but i think what she is refering to "boring true love vs infatuation"maybe meaning the way YSQ or Jing showing his affection to WXL/XYwhich may seem boring to some people because he's just there taking care of her and go straight telling her his feelings. There's no play game, no hold tension, no inviting to bicker. He just go along with what XY like because he loves her. There are a lot of people who find it unchallenging and unpassionate which may be implied with word "boring". Even XY seems disappointed that he act no much fiery with her pouty face.
In mature love, sometimes fiery passion not always need to be shown all time because it is within and it
stays within longer. But YaoJing do have sweet moments though.

there are different kinds of love. But i think Both XL and Jing can be selfless when it comes to those they love. The way XL respect Gong Gong is also selfless and his love for XY could be also called selfless, he foresee of their unable to union, so he made it possible that XY is happy doing several thing including making her get with another good man she loves. Jing could be also called selfless in forgiving Hou, FFYY and CX for hurting him that much. But his love for XY and his doing everything to be with her could not be fully called "selfless". And it could be called selfish when he request her to wait for him 15 years when his family matter no easy to break off. BUT THAT IS THE EXACT REASON WHY I AM ON HIS SHIP!! The love of XL can be called sacrificing. But the love of Jing could be called giving everything..i mean to XY. I appreciate XL with all my heart.
Nevertheless In a matter of romantic and domestic union, it needs mutual balance feeling from both sides. In which I love how Jing's craving for
XY 's love and fight the best to be at her side. Of course, circumstances of XL and Jing were not the same. I appreciate XL. I cheer Jing to get what he want. And that apply to real life as well for me, doing something wonderful/helpig for somebody out of love is to be appreciated but when choosing romantic partner, we may go with the one
having feeling balanced. The one we could rely on and also the one who want us. And how much he's acting on it.

I really love Deng Wei's Jing. And to think that they cut Jing/Deng Wei out from LYF is lame. I do understand TJC's XL popularity but they should not downgrade others in that way. I dont find anything weak in his performance. It's a bit sad to know Jing is least popular ML from LYF . He's my favorite from the story for various reasons. Very comforting character yet very flawed. It's refreshing character. The more I think the more I like him . Deng Wei just bring him to life in such a charming way. And it makes no sense to change the ending because it may lose essence of XL's endearingness too.

Um...I see. It seems to me that there's something or actions or motives that really turn you off from Jing while it may sense to others. Because the guy is no way bad. If Jing is problematic then the other two are quite problematic as well in every sense. You can see reasons why if you use realistic logic But this is a movie show. We have to
see overall arc. That's why it seems I am defending the character because I thouroughly enjoy the story as a whole. I don't know the books you mentioned. So I can't compare. It doesn't really matter. But the fact is people seems to make so much fuss about his giving into XY and also about Ffyy issues. I can't much accept about third party but i don't really feel bad here as the story for some reason.(not gonna mention because it's already long). I have to consider too that was this arc in story really weak as said or commentors are just throwing tantrums because it doesn't go the way they want. But yep there's also another group who also this character and character. People are just not the same. (Even if I am writing this long, it is not to change what you prefer but people are differen. Life experience and ideals are different). As for Jing, if you think that I am making him sound like Mr Perfect would be
really wrong. I have to admit I prefer family/domestic guy who doesn't challenge me with emotional tension that what Jing has. But thats my ideal not others. If others want a more challanging(exciting) or life partner isWhat I am saying is if one think he is weak based on most of his motives, is it
because we are expecting him to do things that we think a ML should do
or is he really weak as a character or even as an indivitual that's including his call out for 15 years of
chance too. At that time
she's still WXL. It'd been easier. But she became princess later, things got more messed up. How should he dealt with his family. .to not to labled "weak"? Just get rid of Hou? Or is he really weak that he found out about Hou and Ffyy later? Or is he weak that he got into his grandma trap? And get all these insecurity that he can't even face XY. I don't know. I will just "weak" is just a term. But for me I'd rather call it "flaws". This is still melodrama and some scenes maybe exaggerated. But Jing's flaws in such family matters, the way he was brought up, dilemma, insecurities, don't_know_what_to_do are situations, and his desires for life are something some average people can
relate to
fall into real life too.
Thats he is
my favourite character from the
story. I dont have anything against the other two ml, but I have seen these kinds of traits ml in many stories before. So TSJ character for me refreshing. I have hardly seen this type of character on in fiction with such a way and in such a role before. So yep.

I actually adore Zhu Yan in overall feel.

Its ok watch for me...but initially it may go a bit slow and get better and better later. But for me it's soothing slow burn which I love..I went into the story with ease. I love all the beautiful soothing CGIs. And Xiao Zhan is gorgeous in every scenes. And I love his character. Ren Min is cute too. I personally have no problem with her and her character. I love the whole casting. It is bravo. But the thing is, this theory about "she is bad luck for him, and fated to kill him because she's the only one to cried and pray for him at his fake death" prophecy thingy is problematic to me. I don't understand at all why fate wants her to.kill him because of her good feelings yet misunderstanding. Therefore it loses scores from me. And I also think Shi Ying suffered too much. Love story here is more of soothing type not really firery. But there's romance has three couples. It's overall a good solid drama still although I have some disappointments maybe it's for me only. The production I need to say is very excellent. ..
