After rewatching ep. 2 and reading opinions I noticed no one seems to mind or notice that Kant bahevior is big…
Lol where are you going? Just here? Because I can attest that half the internet elsewhere already hates Kant and it's just gonna get worse.

I was expecting this though lol. It's the Khaotung Thing that 90% of the fandom has. Bison could be the worst character in the show and people would still find ways to hate Kant for "betraying" him. Never mind that he kills people for a living or that in any serious drama Kant would be the one we're rooting for.

No one in this show is a good person. If you're coming in expecting that then you're going to be disappointed. I fully expect the Kant hate to skyrocket far beyond belief though. Fandom only forgives or understands characters being morally grey when they like them.

Tentatively enjoying this right now but on the lookout for Kant to become Sir Not Appearing Here once the real plot takes off like he did in the novel.

Can you please spoil it for me, what's happened?
It wasn't meant to be a judgement call. People like what they like, and I have noticed that a lot of them really like Khoatung. There's nothing wrong with that, and in this specific case it might really make The Heart Killers your favorite show. I'm more of a First person myself (which is why I'm so annoyed) so I can hardly point fingers.

And I said a lot of people, not all.

There's no guarantees that the novel will be exact, but I also read the GMMTV spoilers floating around and I will say the beats are about the same. I just don't trust anyone involved enough to watch and I don't' need any extra annoyance in my life right now. Maybe I will when it's all over, after I know what I'm getting into.

I'm not going to get into an extended argument but the man can't even do his job once and Bison get together. Suddenly the supposedly competent thief is unable to so much as drag a man off by himself, he suddenly needs to be told exactly what to do, he starts spouting off "my love" at every opportunity while again, bison barely seems to like him.

People's priorities are all different. I know plenty of people will like the show and novel because Kant is barely a character to them anyway, he's just the love interest and his only real job in their eyes is to be in love with Bison. Some people already only care about Bison and want him to be the main main chatacter. Good for them. They'll have a good time. I, on the other hand, did not. If the show is like the novel, I will not there either.

Okay. So, in brief:

If you're primarily a Khaotung fan, you'll be happy. It's basically Bison: The Novel (and I guess THK will be Bison: The Show).

If you're primarily a JoongDunk fan, I think you'll be pleased. The dynamic in the novel was a little too old school BL for me but I don't think it will go *quite* that way in the show. Fadel actually wound up being my favorite character and Style was a lot of fun. I liked them a lot, and if I were going to watch, it would be for them.

If, however, you like First best...well. Rant incoming (I'll space it down a few for people who don't want intense spoilers)

SPOILERS BELOW

Kant is barely a character. All he exists for is to get the ball rolling with the investigation bits and simp for Bison. The SECOND he and Bison get together he stops being able to do anything and just spends all his time being in awe of Bison's awesome while Bison gets a real plot and actual stuff to do (and honestly doesn't seem to like Kant very much I'm not really sure why they end up together in the end other than BL Laws say they must). That brother Kant does all this for? Barely exists. We see him twice, and it's mostly yet another excuse to showcase how amazing Bison is. Kant also disappears for almost half the novel while the other three do not. So yeah, he's getting shafted hard.

Bison wound up being my least favorite character tbh. Reality warped around him constantly so he was the most badass and smartest and coolest in the room at all times. And he was in almost every chapter so you couldn't get away from him. Even if I was a stan of Khaotung I would be annoyed, because I hate it when a show that's supposed to be about more than one character winds up focusing mostly on just one because that's the one we're all here for, right?

I do think that a lot of FK fans will like it, because it seems to me that the fandom is mostly into Khaotung and First is just kinda their shipping proxy (which is fine btw people like who they like), but as a First fan I was so disappointed. I am not a paired couples are awful and they should all break and work with other people type of person but sometimes I really think First isn't going to get a good role again while he's paired with Khaotung. For whatever reason everyone has decided he's not the talent here and as someone who prefers his acting it disappoints and depresses me.

After reading the novel my interest in this show has plummeted straight into hell. That really sucks, because I was really looking forward to seeing First on my screen again.
