My genuine opinion thus far (which is going to get me in trouble) is that if you are primarily a Khaotung fan…
Okay. I am a user who has been here for a while, had discussions etc even if I don't do the profile updates. I agree with them, I've just learned better than to say it because people descend on it like a pack of hyenas on a carcass.
Try tumblr. It's full of people who are already finding 1000 ways to find Tiger problematic even though you could replace him with a cardboard cutout of First at this point and have virtually the samecharacter.
This is absolutely the Lynx show and I think not admitting it or pretending anyone in it holds equal importance to him is ridiculous. He is the center of everything, even scenes he's not in. It's cool if that's your kind of show. It's cool if Khaotung is your bias and you don't see a problem with this because every show should be his show and all is right with the world. But coming at someone else for having a different opinion and resorting to calling them a troll because they won't agree with you (and not even in a jerky way ffs) is juvenile behavior.
Especially after proving their point by going on about how fandom has flattened most of First's other characters. Because that is their point.

Maybe you don't hang out where I do?
I don't do Twitter because it's full of angry people who just want to be mad, if that helps. And I stay away from here most of the time because people can't seem to learn that they don't have to keep watching shows they don't like. And before you start, making ONE COMMENT about being worried about this one is NOT the same thing. It's the continuously coming back to complain with every new episode.
Did I say that Akk, Sand and Kant were not complex? I don't recall doing so at all. Sand...well that's iffy. He's my favorite and I adore him but I think he falls behind Boston, Ray, and Mew for complexity and storytelling. Not complaining about it though, it's hard with that many characters, the trio was always meant to be the center I think, and it could have been worse. He could have been Top. Or Namchueam. But as you recall, I DID say Kant was complex in the show. It was the novel I had the problem with. And all I said about The Eclipse is that people have gotten weird about Akk recently, not that he wasn't complex. My problem is and has always been stated to specifically be with fandom, and my worry is that the way fandom acts will influence the way that they start writing these characters. I hope not but I can't and won't pretend not to be worried or that it isn't ever a factor in how they write these characters.
And thank you for proving my point about the First stan accusations. I'm NOT mad about seeing Khaotung. I'm annoyed by people making everything all about Khaotung even when he isn't the focus. I'm happy for you if that's not what happens wherever you go. It's annoying and I can guarantee you I wouldn't like it if it were happening with First, either. You don't have to believe me but there it is. I bet it happens with most cps and I bet it's just as annoying there.
As I am not the one who can't just let comments I don't like go, either by ignoring or blocking (I won't be offended, you should do whatever makes things easier, especially for something like this that doesn't matter), I don't really think I'm the one who needs to get a grip here.

Ready to see Tiger hated the second he makes Lynx upset but watch Lynx be excused for everything he does or says? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't come here a lot but yeah, I remember watching Only Friends and seeing reactions elsewhere and being really confused how everyone else was being blamed for everything Ray was doing. I liked Ray a lot (he, Mew, and Boston were the most interesting characters in that show, with the best arcs), but not the Ray that other people were apparently seeing. It took me until The Heart Killers to realize that it doesn't matter what Khaotung's characters do they're always the center for a LOT of people and nothing they do is ever wrong. It's always everyone else's fault. Kant was my second favorite character in THK, he was complex and way more interesting than I expected from the novel, and people HATED him even after he and Bison made up. Sand retroactively gets blamed for everything Ray ever did to him. I even see it in The Eclipse a little bit now, which is insane to me but what can you do. I don't see it as much in MLC but that's probably because Alan and Gaipa never had a conflict.
That's part of why I am worried about this one. Because it's not like they don't see that, and they figure that people don't want complex characters from anyone but Khaotung, they just want the show to revolve around him. That'll get views and tweets and engagement! Let's only focus on his talents and give him fourteen love interests and make the guy he ends up with little more than a cipher for the adoring audience who has no ambition or dreams or life beyond loving him and telling him how great he is all the time!
And like I said, I'm sure a ton of people WANT that. I just am not one of them. I am in the position where i think they're BOTH very talented but unfortunately one of them keeps getting ignored because he's not the one fandom is in love with (even during My Magic Prophecy so much of the talk about First was about wanting Khaotung to show up - the man gave an incredible performance and all people wanted was Khaotung, it was depressing), and it's kind of making me want to see Khaotung less even though I know he's a good actor and probably a nice dude all around. I'm just so tired of everyone assuming he's all we're here to watch.
I just worry that if this show is what I am expecting from the mock trailer and it does well, that First will be forever stuck playing stock supportive boyfriend to Khaotung's complex, interesting characters who get to have actual lives.
It really might be just us though. I have mentioned it before and people tell me I'm a lying First stan so. 🤣
first of all, how is this khaotung biased? both first and Khaotung are two of the best actors in gmmtv and im…
First of all, I said nothing about heaviness or drama vs. fluffy and light, don't put words in my mouth. You have no idea how I feel about comedy, please stop taking your hangups with other commenters out on me.
Second, all the meat of the trailer was Khaotung's. He got all the backstory and emotional resonance. That is why I am worried. The mock trailer literally revolved around Lynx's mom issues and his brother issues and cat cafe issues. First's job was to talk to cats and provide emotional support. And while I'm sure a show like that that has its fans (and a ton of them, from what I'm getting), I would not be one of them.
I also said I was going to wait and see what the trailer looks like, since even though I am curious about the novel I know from the last time we did this that a novel and the final product might not be very similar (and thank GOD for that, the THK novel was awful and I stand by that).
For this one I'm gonna want novel spoilers before I even think about it, I think. Nothing that I'm getting from fandom or the mock trailer is really grabbing me - it seems heavily biased towards Khaotung which is great if he's your bias, not so much if he's not.
That said the THK novel was heavily, heavily biased towards Bison and the show was much better about Kant, even if most of fandom couldn't follow its lead. I guess I will have to wait and see how the actual trailer is.
I want the cats to be cameos from other GMMTV actors but I don't know if I'd be willing to watch just for that either. I want to know that First will actually have something to do other than stand around being pretty and simping over Khaotung. It would be such a waste if he comes off of that amazing performance in My Magic Prophecy only to be relegated to Support Boyfriend in The Lynx Show.
i think that's smart. it's how i do it too. after hate watching spn for too long i vowed to never do that to myself…
supernatural! It's a ustv show that ran for what started to feel like 84 years. i watched even when i wasn't having fun and i really regret it. i don't have space in my life to watch things i hate. it's supposed to be fun.
UUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH.........Here it is. The character who knows nothing walks right into the lions den and…

Just because they are a bl CP doesn’t mean they need to act in every series together. They are regular actors.
Honestly yeah. I'm kind of sick of this, especially when they don't do it the other way. I know people think First is nothing without Khaotung but surely this proved he can actually do his job? So tired of acting like the only reason First matters is because of his cp.
Lol where are you going? Just here? Because I can attest that half the internet elsewhere already hates Kant and…
I mean that their current push pull works for me, and in the end I'd prefer it if wasn't just Kant losing his entire personality for Bison so that Bison can be in charge all the time. Ideally they would feel like a couple that are both into each other, not a servant and his master. But that's not how it will go.
Lol where are you going? Just here? Because I can attest that half the internet elsewhere already hates Kant and…
I want them to be equals, but I already know that won't happen. The Bison worshippers will get what they want. Kant will be nothing. Babe who, basically.
Not every show can be for everyone, but I am a little sour about it.

Yes? People absolutely expect him to live just for Bison, to put up with whatever Bison does, to completely forget anyone but Bison and bend to his whims and essentially stop being anything but what Bison wants. It's insane. But I'm not really shocked because they were he same way about Sand and Ray.

I have seen some stuff for Tiger that looks interesting but as I said I'm going to wait and see.
Thanks for the tip about the novel translation.

What are you doing on MDL? Patient people don't usually go here.
