I have to be honest the drama attracted me cause of how good looking the main leads were,but i was shocked when it was actually good. The ending satisfied me so much it is a pity that the main leads never really got any romance tho i need a season 2 on their love life since this series was based on exposing the truth and getting revenge but i loved it. Great drama to kill time, average storyline,good acting + visuals and smart powerful leads.I'm not gonna talk about the plot since the description is enough but i'd definitely recommend this drama!

Not what i expected but still good.
Based on the title and thumbnail i thought it was going to be full on thrilling cause of the vibes it gave off. But when i watched the thumbnail i was like "oh maybe a bit of business too", tip for the ones actually interested in what the title is about, all the thrill starts from episode 10 but you do need to watch the rest of the episodes in order for it all to puzzle up and make sense. (you'll understand it once you finish it) the rest of the episodes are about the gao familyfighting for the company's chair position,will and the love story of cheng cheng and Jiang Yuanxing,lies & forgiving and all the identity stuff. Honestly the plot twist kind of shocked me i didn't quite expect that but i was absolutely amazed and loved it. Not everyone got their happy endings (the main couple did dw) i also pity some of them, especially that diary made me bawl my eyes out. Anyhow so many people dropped this at episode 1-2 their loss, and honestly this series is getting so much unnecessary hate, everyone their own opinions but i LOVED it, worth the watch the actors did a really good job it was only 12 episodes and they managed it so well need more series like this some of them are way too long just for the unnecessary long drama thing that keeps on dragging. But overall 10/10 definitely worth it. (forgot to add this and can't be bothered to go back but the main leads chemistry were AMAZING those intense scenes made me get butterflies damn)Was this review helpful to you?

ridiculous to the point where it's funny
First of all this all together is only an hour and a half so it's clearly low budget, i expected that but please they made the "doctor" wear a white coat and some casual T-shirt and shorts under it which is quite visible 😭 and some actors never got new clothes the sets were also cheap but i can still bear with that. There's nothing thrilling or new to the storyline it's literally about a girl who replaced her twin then got exposed but fell for each other that's basically it. At the end her supposed sister came back so i have no idea if it's hinting at a season 2 but let's not hope so. The only actors who did half decent are probably the main leads their chemistry were good and like 3 side characters. The rest didn't portray their characters well at all like they were so stiff and emotionless. If you are really bored out of your mind and want to have a good laugh at some below average dramas but with some good romance scenes, here you go.Was this review helpful to you?
Good to kill time
This all together isn't even an hour long so that explains why it's like so rushed and everything was going by so fast,it's also a mini-drama so don't expect high budget looking things. The main leads were amazing in terms of acting and visuals, some side characters' acting were questionable tho. Storyline isn't anything new but the costumes were really beautiful and the music's quite catchy. Overall good if you have spare time and are out of dramas to watch. If you love dominant and smart FLs this is definitely for you, the ML just lets her do whatever she wants.Was this review helpful to you?
underrated
I absolutely loved this the romance is so cute between them, the ML slowly gets a soft spot for the FL and they eventually get together.Plot: Qi prince goes to the Qian kingdom to find a long lost friend of his and solves cases along the way with an investigator who were investigating the same case at the time and decided to do it together then they gradually developed feelings while the Qian prince also took an interest in the FL.

Acting: acting was on point i haven't seen the ML before and i'm hoping to see more ancient dramas of him cause in terms of looks and acting he's perfection. The chemistry is really good between the actors. And the other actors nailed their roles
Quality: Amazing backgrounds and camera quality, this drama deserves so much more.

Pure work of art
I haven’t reviewed a drama for a while but this drama made me want to write one desperately, i loved every single second of it the cast,storyline,set,costumes,cgi,music EVERYTHING this drama made me go through a rollercoaster of emotions it had me on chokehold, switching from laughing to crying i can’t even explain this. i don’t even rewatch dramas but i will just for this one. Finishing it made me feel like I’ve just lost a baby the impact this drama has on me is crazy now i just feel so empty without it, rewatching it is.Was this review helpful to you?

hidden gem
I've never heard of this drama despite filtering my searches on the same genres but luckily i found it through recommendations of another drama. There aren't many like republic dramas i like but this sure is one of them, from acting,sets to storyline it was all fantastic and exciting. The way the FL finally got her revenge was satisfying although i'm dissapointed that the villain died such a quick death after all that he has done he deserved so much worse, also sad about the fact that concubine Sun couldn't be with Feng Shixun tho :( Concubine Sun's character developement was amazing. But anyhow the main leads' chemistry are AMAZING to the point where i think that their love is real. Every romantic scene of them were *chef's kiss*. I get how people also talk about how bad the ending was, but i thought it was pretty good although she got there quite sudden but the rest of the scenes made me feel the justice i needed. Overall this is even better than some big dramas i have no idea why it's so unknown to a lot people. 10/10 if you're looking for a good republic drama with on point sets + costumes and amazing chemistry between the actors with crime & mystery.Was this review helpful to you?

overrated
I don't get the hype for this drama. It's not bad but also not good, the FL makes me so angry with her voice and personality she never listens and doesn't realise who she really loves until towards the end. She always acts on her own like a toddler it's annoying. But the ML nailed it, i have no idea how he didn't go crazy but anyways the other actors did wel tho.I did love the part where they go to the mortal world it was really interesting and the editing was honestly good.

More perfect than perfect itself
I don't know how to express myself at this point, this was far beyond my imagination it was so good that i couldn't even skip a second of it, the emotions it gave me the visuals the acting the music the sets everything got me squealing. GODDAMN, i always give out 10 stars cause i only choose to watch good dramas but this? This deserves far more than that. I am so satisfied with the ending i need to see these two in another drama cause their chemistry is just perfect that i can't even tell if it's acting or not, this whole plot is just so good i'm not even exaggerating right now i swear i absolutely loved it, i'm never the type to rewatch dramas i only give stars for it for other people to rewatch it but this is the ONLY drama i'd rewatch. Every single part of it is perfect and i'm gonna cry happy tears. Please watch this you won't even regret it the goosebumps cause of the tension is crazy. fav mini drama
I've taken quite a liking to mini dramas recently and most of them have confusing/empty kind of plots due to the short amount of time, but this drama gave me everything it could in such a short time the twist didn't seem rushed like everything was just taking it's time and making everything seem like i'm watching one of those long dramas,the romance was top tier the main couple's chemistry was incredible and i love the second leads love too although it's a pity they couldn't continue their romance,loved the comedy through out too and the music was so good matched scenes perfectly, so overall 10/10. emotional rollercoaster
One word: Perfection.This has become my favourite drama just cause of all the emotions i've felt.
All the casts portrayed their characters well and the ending made me feel so satisfied, justice was served.
The whole storyline,acting,music,backgrounds were all done so goodly i literally love this and it made me throw my pillow across the room and all that.
Also the music always fit the scene and the songs were so beautiful it really makes the scenes complete.
The name "ashes of love" fits it so well. PLEASE WATCH THIS YOU WON'T REGRET IT 😭

Makes me happy
The story is so cute and funny in general it mainly revolves around friendship and romance and it makes me so happy to watch. The actors were so good and the main couple have such a good chemistry.It deserves all the hype it gets if not more. The romance makes me all excited too.
It's also good in terms of visuals and acting!
The end made me a little emotional for some reason when the main actors look at the new "competitors" and see themselves when they first entered the palace. It reminds you of the whole journey it's like you watched them grow up and mature.

Underrated
This drama caught my attention cause i was trying to find dramas with the male lead as the main cast cause in terms of looks and acting he's amazing and underrated. I have to say the best part starts at episode 21 where the royal affairs begin.Plot: a gang leader who grew up in a whorehouse meets a business man who suspected her of a crime then they investigated the case together,became close then the ML finds out he's a prince and then the story continues at the palace where the FL tries to unravel the truth behind a pendant that her master left behind before she died and it involved the royal palace.
Acting/Cast: The acting is on point i mean you already know it is if Bai Lu is in it. Everyone played their roles perfectly and i enjoyed it so much and the actors are really good looking.
Quality: The quality is like any good drama and good backgrounds.
It deserves so much more recognition!

Perfection
I started watching this cause i saw it on tiktok but when i tell you it's good it's GOOD i'm really picky about dramas and was so happy when i found out about this drama.The actors NAILED their roles and i absolutely adore the main leads i mean it's zhao lusi and yang yang they're one of the best actors for me.
You won't regret it, the story involves martial arts,war,romance,fighting for throne,crime and mystery,friendship,... just the whole package.
Now i have to wait for another drama as good as this to release 😭
