1. I think they wanted to connect it to the scene right before the attack of the gangster on their home/noodle shop, when grandma asks „who are you?”. The viewer thinks it’s because she sees that it’s not „her” Seo-ri, but it’s actually because of her dementia. I also thought that she had to die so that Seo-ri could go back to Joseon without feeling she left her alone. Just my interpretation.
2. This makes literally zero sense.
3. It was super cute!! It was the real Kang De-sim, who came to the present after the family suicide and came back when Seo-ri changed the past and un-did her death. De-sim and the prince understood they loved each other after they escaped and continued the escape up to overseas to be together and free. I loved this scene actually, I was so happy they got their happy ending too.
4. They could’ve just said „coming back may not be possible, you have to take that into consideration” or sth like that. IT WASN’T SO HARD.
5. I wanted to know as well…
I highly agree with most of the things you said. I, too, thought that Ha Se-gye was acting strange and scary, what’s with all the beating… thankfully they toned him down towards Seo-ri at least after some time. Also, why couldn’t they idk talk?? About what was happening, their feelings?? I also think they have little to no chemistry. I loved the funny romantic scenes with them though, like the kisses in the end on the bed and by the sea…
The sleepwalking trope is so weird because why didn't he tell her, especially since he found her outside in the…
Seriously! She didn’t even know she had such a huge problem! And she was also opening up to him during those calls and not telling her was a huge privacy violation in any relationship imo
At first I thought Hae-Yi was just playing so that her biological mother would freak out and leave immediately, but I was wrong. Why did she do all that? Was it explained? How the f she and Haeng-Seon got back to how things were so easily?
