dont get me wrong, i like Miles Wei. ever since Find Yourself. but wow this is his 6th drama this year, and 5 last year. he's everywhere. like guy, take a vacation
No, this is NOT a BL. But holy cow its a great production. Don't go into this thinking its some fluffy fruity idol drama. This is Zhang Yi Mou production. This is meant to win awards.
If you go into with the expectation of a very serious, heavy, edgy, drama, then yes watch it, its friggin great (at least the first 12eps, obviously still airing)
i'm on ep27 already through iqiyi official site, Tan Jian CI's acting is seriously legit and seriously improving. which is saying a lot considering he was already pretty darn good back in 2018 when he did three kingdoms.
It's on my list to watch but I'm not sure. Is it really good? Do the main leads have chemistry? Is tye plot good?…
romantic chemistry is mid - not bad but not CP level.
but overall acting across the whole cast is incredible and the chemistry between the MLs is great. its 10000000% worth the watch. good plot and quick witted script. not dependent on FX or over done action scenes. no question, watch it yesterday.

i love WZQ's more rugged look, and he really is taking on the different acting of this well. but also, credit to Tian Yu. there is something to be said for experience. script and plot are good. its a 10, i dont care what anyone else says.
If you havent watched The Spirealm, i can tell you the BL energy in this one is strrroooonngg. And hilarious.
Normally i would advocate for watching through official channels but with this one, if they're to rerelease it at all im sure there will be a lot ot cut scenes, or even refilmed scenes. So frankly, bootleg the uncut version while its out there.
