On a positive note it is cute and light-hearted show. On the other hand it was hard to get through it didn't quite hold my attention due to a combination of factors but in a nutshell the script and execution was flawed. I felt that it was not a series that needed so many episodes either maybe focusing earlier on Kanade and his family while also addressing the issue with the mom would have been better.

This is like a gay disney version of what a period drama of forbidden love would look like. The drama has a beautiful presentation. The acting isn't bad and the couples are a contrast to eachother which is nice. The issues presented are interesting but watered down unfortunately (that's why I said a very disney feeling if you get my drift). I would say it's worth a watch if you're in the mood for a historical drama that's not too heavy and feel-good vibes. The characters are also very likeable and I must say I was captivated by the second lead couple I wish they could have had more scenes.

A cute drama nothing too deep though. I personally watched it for Milk and Love so while I was not amazed by the series at all it was easy to watch because I loved seeing them so I enjoyed it overall despite it's shortcomings. A series that isn't too deep but cute.

No I'm like you hesitant I've heard mixed reviews on story but I might watch it at some point when I have more time for Zhou Ye I do like her acting style, sry I wasn't any help on that.

I love Zhou Ye's acting and work. I want to see her in more costume dramas

This is a entertaining mystery-murder show which is better seen without knowing absolutely any spoilers it is more fun that way. The cast is comprised mainly of actresses who were very good at playing their characters. if there is a special or movie to continue their story I would definitely watch it. I would want a season 2 but I'm satisfied even without one. 8/10 glad I watched it.

You are so incredibly rude the fact that you are watching asian dramas and can insult them like this as China, Korea and Japan all had men with long hair historically and culturally and even insult asian women for having higher voices and a different manner of speaking it's mindboggling pretty ironic to say the least.

I guess it could be considered enemies to lovers but it's really about building trust (since ML is distrustful of FL at first). I think they didn't get together until episode 18 but the plot shows they had feelings earlier on through little things and how they help eachother imo it's a slow burn as the romance isn't the absolute central focus there is a lot of political stuff going on.

I was about to write a comment but then saw yours we might be in the minority though, I see that this show is receiving so much love and that's great but I agree with your comment I found the direction and production quality really good though but a badly executed story wasted potential indeed.

This type of drama is yet another reason I don't subscribe to the popular take that Jbl dramas are superior then other bls from other countries. I've watched a couple of Japanese bls dramas and managed to like only 3 or 4. I've been giving this a chance because the premise seems cute but I'm trying to get past the fact that very little happens each episode plot-wise. The acting is really stiff sometimes and yeah I expect the dead fish kiss but even my beloved Cherry Magic I could feel the chemistry and there was no kiss there but I felt it through the acting. I like how Jbls always manage to have cute tropes but that is not enough to carry a show for many episodes. I just have to kind of watch this accept it's cute but mid to me. I'll have to add this to a long list of japanese bl shows that I found boring like cosmetic playlover, ameiro paradox , minato's laundrymat etc. I won't give up on the japanese bl shows though it's just my opinion.

Finally!!!!! I can't wait to watch this I really like Zhou Ye personally so I'm ready

It is good but maybe I just wasn't in the mood for something so serious but I found the drama a little slow and somber however I loved the FL she kept me watching this is a good drama for someone who wants to watch a mature story with political stuff and a very slowww romance

What can I say that anyone else hasn't already said? 13 episodes of plotholes. The lazy writing is not just bad but boring because they really gave so little time to everyone that by the end no one had enough screentime to develope a satisfying story. To think they could have all just worked together like they did in this final episode from the beginning to break into Tony's and use Charlie to finish him off...They could have told us this story in a movie. Why was Tony and Winner at the wedding? doesn't really make sense at all. The first season was better it didn't take itself so seriously like this one and also the omegaverse was important to the world again why did they get rid of it. NC scenes were more romantic in the first season here it feels like they use them to fill in time they could be using for a better execution of this story. In a nutshell I gave this 1/10 as this season lacked the vibrancy of the first season imo.

That's such a shame they decided to cut the omegaverse because literally the basis of Alphas, Omega and Enigmas was part of the dynamics in the first season although it was minimal. I think there are so much fanfictions out there that are better then this season honestly. I will definitely check out ABO Desire when I have the time thanks for the info :) I didn't even know all this until now.

I do agree with you, the first point you made is the reason they should have kept the omegaverse. It confuses people because that was the foundation of the world-building they did in season 1 it was a bad move on their part to eliminate it. I didn't even know that fact about what North and Sonic are. They could have used that and explored it deeper. it would have been more interesting then what they chose to do. This whole season leaves a lot to be desired imo.

Removing the Omegaverse had to be the biggest mistake they did lets start with that and then everything else including execution was downright bad. It has been tedious to watch this show this season.

I agree about the character assassinations not just, but North and Sonic too have become less bubbly and now are boring. Kim also they dumbed down so he could help Alan. No one wins this season.
