I think Taesung might have a role more than that of a second lead or a love rival to Sunjae. His character just seems mysterious. In the first timeline, we didāt know what happened to him and in the second timeline, we saw him for just 3seconds. So he seems sus. Also in the novel there was a character who can time travel except for Sol and Taesungās character was added in the drama so, it is quite likely that Taesung would be the other time traveller. These are just theories rn, waiting to see how everything turns out.
