I actually agree with you. Cause I watched the OG my mind is easily pin pointing what I don't like. I wish I could off that portion of drama watching experience. Even though I'm loving this but the fact I know it's an adaptation that comparison game is interfering all the time.

Same. I am enjoying it so much. I hopped in cause of the FL dad is played by Choi Won Yeong i enjoy his acting so I'm really loving this one. It's like watching lite version of the original and I'm not complaining about it❤️

I think being a adaptation in these times where almost a big chunk of population has watched the original and love it it will be hard to not end up the comparison game. And the fact it's a adaptation people will compare it as its not a stand alone series. But being said that they have done a pretty good job. And yes I agree with you having watched the original it's kinda weird to watch this. Not saying difficult but it's like you can pin point exactly what you don't like about this

I saw that in Cdrama the motive to make her tomboyish was to depict how she had few to zero female relative present in her life

Apart from that I like Cdrama a lot cause of how many episodes are there they chose either 24-35/36-40/45 episode length which is perfect for most of story development as Cdrama more often has multiple couple as main leads or multiple storys were told in one drama length. So they often chose to divide the entirety of the show with almost equal episodes going through multiple small plots when it comes to multiple main characters.

Great for you. My point on being fast or slow paced was cause I read few comments earlier saying it's too fast paced then it original work so I pointed out how viewer actually loose interest in slow paced drama epically if it's dropping weakly and not all together. So what I was saying is if the story was too slow paced the rating might have dropped cause their is already a discord on internet even before the release that since they have watch the original they don't want to and other half where like I'll only watch to see hwang in yeop to get the girl.

And now seeing two episodes which was literal copy of original scenes from the original show people has started to drop the show that's why I said it feels like compilation of few scene from the show. To me that's not an issue I was just pointing out it can be hard to cover a story which was 46 ish episode long into 16 episode

I'm 10 min in kinda happy that they chose to go through the childhood rather than flashback which to me what made Go Ahead special as you get to see them from their child to adult hood. Being said that "GO AHEAD" was like 40+ episodes so I have no idea how fast pace this one is going to be. Also a lot of kdrama are fast paced and most of the time I have seen people (viewer) loosing interest in a slow paced ongoing drama so I'm bit worried if it too fast paced we won't be able to get attached with the familiar bond that was the highlight of original. Let see how it goes. And since I'm person who hardly drops a drama I'm going to watch this one fully, cause honestly at this point it feels like I'm watching Go Ahead compilation on YouTube which I'm okay with.

I genuinely wish they don't go way too heavy on the love triangle portion cause even in original the 2nd brother proposing the FL the motive was not romantic love but much more a want to be the part of family officially. And knowing my kdrama that can be heavy on love triangle I fear that part of the story most

Honestly I'm going to be one of those people who say watch the original and I know how annoying they can be but here I'm. You should definitely watch the original. The story the portrayal by the actor you will end up falling for that drama. It is so beautiful written, directed and executed by all the actor. The story is nothing like things I have seen, the ost is so heartwrenching beautiful. The drama is perfection

They way you want this to be I guess you end up enjoying "extraordinary you" so I'll say watch it I don't want to give you a slightest bit of spoiler ☺️

Being said that I'll like go watch more than 2 episodes to know it well enough and also being a person who hardly drop drama I'll give it a chance

I just started and honestly I'm 10 min in only, I like that they didn't go with flashback thing which is common in kdrama. But as you said it a copy to original I'm actually glad and sad at same time. Cause knowing kdrama the love triangle is going to be literal love triangle and more often the romance portion always gets heavy in kdrama where as in Cdrama the series is kinda divided in 10-10 episode manner where they go will all the main plot every 10-12 episode while following an overarching theme.

As you said, yes the 2nd brother was never to much in love as in romantic way with fl, in Cdrama his motives was to become a real family by registering himself as family members in fl home registery while not coming as douchebag i believe this was the reason the drama came out as it is more on family side (which everyone loved) also his reason and the way the character was done by the actor doesn't make viewer torn with sml syndrome while when it comes to kdrama, it thrives with it's sml syndrome stories so I was worried if they go too much off the rails with characters this drama which is about family first will end up only being love triangle and sml syndrome where the entire world will be divided between two leads while forgetting the real message.

2. This is not a separate drama, it's a special episode much like a fever dream of the writer (mainly for viewer who watched NGNL know how many time the novel was referenced)

1. The FL here is two different character, the starting where you see her with a different kang ha jun (sml) is the original characters of the novel written by character named Nam Ja Yeon. She writes smut and made female character looks like her but with opposite personality (sexy and fox like) and made male character based on her high school crush but again with opposite personality (passionate and naught). Hence naming the character Kang Ha Jun (based on original character Yeo Ha Jun)
2. In parent story the 2nd Kang ha jun (the ml) is CEO who found his mother reading smut and he ended up writing hate comments on the author webtoon hence he was referred as hater in original/parent story. (There is much more to that and the title of hater is almost true yet not)
3. When the author Nam Ja Yeon transported to her own webtoon she find that the hater is Kang Ha Jun and the person she imagined to be Kang ha Jun is the secretary that is the villian of the story. Now there is two different sets of characters in this special episodes. One the intended character written by the author and one when the author find herself playing the FL and the different Ha Jun.

I too want to know if the writer are really checking whether the paring works to cast them like in a different drama or they just wanted to add more to the character as NGNL is not usual 16 episode drama.

That was actually funny to think that her character was virgin in NGNL and then she transported to her smut novel and still end up being in the censored version 😂

Okay this was my thoughts too, LYJ had that naught feel to the character of kang ha jun which LSY didn't had; he had much more romantic innocent feel and I think it went well mainly cause the female lead itself didn't possessed the foxy like feel once Nam ja Yeon was transported to her body.
