Wow! What a drama! Not a single filler/boring episode. Things that I love will be mentioned in reply of this comment…
1. Love the fact that writer didn't made serial killer J a person who is possessed by Satan. Absolutely loved that detail also the fact that he was a deranged person and didn't just kill cause Satan manipulated him. 2. I think the absence of addressing kang bitna spirit in hell was seems like a plot hole initially but I guess why she actually ended in hell. After knowing what Jung Taegyu did she actually didn't reported him also the fact that she actually was a corrupt judge maybe that's why when justitia was in kang bitna she is always placed in high profile case while giving proper direction what to state as verdict for them. So thorough that we see the person who was kang bitna may not be a murder but was a sinner. 3. Thoroughly enjoyed that the end episode give us enough time for happy scenes and was not rushed or end with 5 minutes of happiness in this series.
I haven't finished it but honestly why every drama of Lee Se Young have bad endings
Thank you, I am sorry that my comment came as aggressive (I felt that after reading it) also I take back what I said. I finished the drama and love how open ended it was but at the same time we see both of them are together in Japan giving another shot; especially when they have so much strong feelings even the after 5 years. I really like how none of them was toxic but equally flawed. I love characters like these.
I am not making fun of her haircut like the above comment. I meant the behaviour of the character was worst in OG (not just annoying like here) i don't have problem with the appearance or have issue with the child actor. It's the character I'm talking about

Thank you, as I'm reading this I'm literally watching the last episode and I'm already 22:54 mins in. Also with word bad I didn't meant in negative way. I love Lee se young and I watch her work a lot maybe cause "hit the top" was my very first kdrama and Lee se young was the first artist I have watched. But every drama of hers had let me down with it's ending. So that what I meant with bad. Like it starts with bang goes amazing and by the end it either has a plot hole or rushed or so many loose ends that never get tied down properly. I haven't finished this one yet, that's why I didn't comment here properly. I was just saying what I have seen before based on the og comment
Is it just me but is the mom of the ML worse in the Korean version than the Chinese one? I felt like the Chinese…
You are not the only one she is more horrible here. Also something to point is Dal mother is also toxic here in OG Mingyue mom was a tiger mom like if she won’t her child might lose good things when the child is literally high schooler then a working women with a proper job but Dal mom is classic toxic korean mom who is like i will control everything cause my child is good for nothing and can never be as good as me

Ikr, I’m sorry but i haven’t finished replay 1988 but it is wild to ask the question who end up with whom when the plot is so much focus on family friendship and community. The fact that 2521 is my absolute fav drama i have no beef with that the ending, it was perfectly done; but it breaks my heart to see people hating it so passionately and also commenting its only 15 episode for me……. Hmmm… excuse me. I enjoyed LR but yes I dont think it’s great. It’s like people watches kdrama with one thinking that is great visual with added romantic story. It’s like no other genre exist in kdrama and even when they watch romanace if its not the same things or chose same route it’s again worst and time waste

That is one of the most frustrating thing to me when ever I want to see the rating or if any new drama just finished aired every one is like , "happy or sad ending", "love triangle" and it just gets me like the plot the story the actor nothing matters and then those people are very active when it comes to rating and often leave a ambiguous review that makes other wonder "am I wierd that I liked this"
idk whos idea put almost 3 eps of villain flashback before end. and the fact the villain is just a straight villain…
To me that was a bit necessary. Cause the way story was going, up until episode 8, even half of episode 9, I trusted no one. Honestly, not even seon Hui (for the death of Kyeong ho) so even when two different sets of story was told one to seon Hui under captivity and other to police officer I had no idea whose to believe. The bio dad said which also made sense and the adoptive parents skipping the part that the kidnapper is the biological dad of seon Hui and telling he is killer of their son (which is true) to police, made me still suspect them. When the story begin to unfold for biological dad in second half of ep 9, it was still confusing; him getting flashback of happy memories while seon Hui is holding on his wound and then minutes later we see how toxic he was. It was like two different sets of information. When the story leds in ep 10 you actually see the full variations of his true colors. He is money obsessed person so much so that he doesn't bother killing his own daughter, and then I don't know how happy memories he was talking about being shot. Also from the very start of his appearance the fact what happened to Sang ho was a mystery, if writers didn't addressed it properly, it would have been a bigger plot hole. Also if the scene where he was manipulating them was absent it wouldn't made sense why a prosecutor was helping a man who came as culprit and would be a joke that just cause he had same name the prosecutor was affectionate (what an idiot!) that entire ep also shows the fact that how the adoptive parents were way more human and affectionate people as often believe got foster parents are not good.
"oh my god, my parents are trying to save and protect me from possibly getting a long jailtime and tremendous…
The first time that biological father lied of being an uncle that was the limit for me. I was like i don't trust a single word coming out of this persons mouth. And I was way to right about that hunch. He is epic piece of sh*t.
no, Su Yeon was at the hospital, she wasn't adopted, that is not a plothole
I don't know whether you noticed this but su Yeon adoptive parents were shown in later episode like either in 6, 7or 8 when they came a day before to see suyeon and left doing the formalities and was to come next day (the day fire happened) and then the adoption was pushed it's not very clear if they really said no (which I think they did) or orphanage did let her go as they were talking how the expenses to cover burn surgery is extra so why would anyone want to adopt a child with added expense. And yes those two are different sets of parents
I'm on ep8 and I trust no one here. God! The unhealthy way I have binged this drama is beyond my own understanding. I'm watching ep9 but wanted to write this here before 😅. I don't trust the adoptive parents, but I doubt biological one way more. At this moment I don't even trust Seon Hui, the amount of blood she has walking back home, makes me think otherwise. At times, I thought she might have killed others too, blacked out her trauma, and the adoptive parents are protecting her in name of being a perfect family in the society. Other times I thought the parents were fucked up, especially the dad cause the way he was and mom is same way but little less. Then recent episodes makes me believe mom is more unhinged one and the dad has to cover her tracks. But now I don't believe anyone not even Hyeon Woo. I love the way the series is write and the actor are playing their part.
thank you for the rating who said "not for everyone" that's why I watched it cause I have seen the dramas i enjoy often have ratings as not for everyone on MDL.

I agree on that as well. I said I don't know what specifically she meant as she said after 20 episode the romance portion began around 24-25 episode and then become main plot and had more screen time that stopped after couple of episode. And after that the ling xiao mom part was toxic as well
i hope they don't add the toxic part of go ahead, go ahead really tried romanticize some toxic behaviours so i…
I don't know what you are exactly pointing out here but as many Cdrama go ahead is also divided into different plot every 10-12 episode. If you have paid attention, first few episode was childhood then after that was highschool and then leaving then the time apart then then coming back then for 5-6 episode the romance then back to overarching plot of the mom trying to take back Ling Xiao second time and him finding strength to say no and Ziqiu finding his mom. Many Cdramas are like this. Here the lead were 5 people so the small plot was for all five and side plot was for side characters. Now if a Cdrama has multiple couple as leads then episodes divides itself in almost equal parts or scene given to each couple

I'll add as I remember more
