A truly amazing Cdrama the best so far this year and I dare say maybe the best Asian drama as well

If you're looking forward to re-experience the innocent crush and first love that ends up to a happy ending with two beautiful eye-candy amazing actors with super heart fluttering chemistry then this is the one you're looking for!! The transition from the young FL to the adult version was very smooth the crush on the older ML made sense the cute interactions between both and the supporting characters is amazing. The story in itself is veryyy beautiful the character were all well written, it is a very bright light drama however it has some sad parts that were quickly solved to keep things simple. The siblings relationship was also so cute and real. I couldn't find anything to nitpick on to be very honest. The casting was on point. Lusi is an amazing actress she was able to portray the innocence, rebellious phase of teens and shyness of having your first crush. Then the maturity, growing up and fighting for her independence and being a strong support to her ML. Chen zheyuan was also exceptional I didn't watch much of his works but he is very good he delivered the emotions on point his eyes were everything! The smiles, the eyes, the look. He did amazing. Both of them had an amazing chemistry on screen and off screen. There wasn't one moment that made you feel cringy or disturbed. It was a beautiful transition from a pure one sided love to a mature relationship between two adults. Everyone who watches the drama won't be able to forget it. It is very worth the watch!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed watching it

I won't lie from the drama's name I thought ah this will be a ride of sorrows and tears. It actually indeed was but it was lighter than I thought and I'm glad it was because my fragile heart wouldn't have been able to handle it otherwise. I wanted to give it a 10 but the ending was literally very predictable and kinda annoying and I hated it. I think it became some sort of stereotype to do this type of ending this year so yeah. My Other complaint would be that the drama was a little too short!? I wished to watch more. I also awaited for a better show of ending battle. It felt a little rushed at the end I didn't get to enjoy watching my demon cat ?! BRING HIM BACKKK!

Solid Story, strong FL with determined goal and ML who supports her from the side.

The story is very well written, loved the details about every character, villain, support or leads they were all 3dimensional. The story focuses on the Female lead and her revenge mostly therefore there arent any side romances except for snippets of the cousin and a friend. The cast is verrrry very talented truly I felt every emotion everything was very well delivered the villains managed to steal a lot of scenes which shows how well they embodied their roles. I'm just a little disappointed with the osts because besides Chenle ending song the others weren't prominent enough. Anyways I also don't like the ending much but since we got a special ep I will forgive the director.

Friendship, secret crush and coming of age

A true high school drama about friendship, secret crushes, so much held feelings, jealousy and making up. It was beautiful. Pretty realistic too! I thought our FL might get a make over when she grows up or something like most dramas but I'm proud they let her be the same ? she looks so cute still and it feels more realistic as well like that after all one doesn't change that drastically in mere years in most cases. I'm just a little sad they ended it like that they never got to confess to each other they both just knew. Yan ze at the end when asked abt he Xin Liang she was like "we broke up" which meant they did date but ended it? The reason is prolly him going to USA but I don't get why it's always that put as a reason when at the time long distant was a thing at least we needed an explanation I don't like to be kept guessing it feels like there's a gap in the story ? coming of age genre writers in every story be like "let's have one of the leads leave to a faraway place and both of them seperated then meet after some years" as if Internet and long distant relationships are a joke to them ?. Another complaint of mine is that both ji xiao and Xi yi were too rigid at times it felt a bit unnatural tho I understand it's how model student is seen but uh it's a bit too much tho I'm glad they made them later be more human. The story had sooo much jealousy and envy between girls while the guys were just "let's compete" pushing each other then "hey I gave up" hands over the FL peacefully. While the girls were more uh vicious? I mean it is a truth but stilllll too much ?altho friendship prevailed at last yet they could've made at least one good friend or smthg I felt it was too dramatic at some point but it's okay as well it's tolerable. In conclusion it's a good story does make sense and is a good light watch. Actors did a great job especially our xiao ding and FL (I know her from a river runs through it) she was great here ? they really represented their characters very well! I loved the supporting chars as welll they were all so cute and as a teacher myself I felt like they were my own students ? it also made me nostalgic abt my high school days ?. Well done!

Friendship, one sided love and dreams.

I loved it. It was refreshing, funny and just cute. I related to the FL's woes with her family tho I'm the youngest ?. The friendship between the main cast was so cute I laughed a lot at their shenanigans I felt like I was one of them. I also found myself liking the second lead along with the FL tho I quickly realised it won't work and gave up unlike her ? I can't believe she kept liking him for so long it didn't make sense tho he's nice and all but he already got someone he liked at some point so... Welp anyways I also liked how the bestie broke up peacefully at the end with that guy it was different. The ml and FL were so good Richard really outdid himself in this drama I loved his character a lot. Most importantly what I liked in the drama is that each character is given a very good realistic persona with good points and flaws they felt real. The only thing I have a complaint about is the ending... Like it was a little abrupt? We needed a little explanation maybe also a closure? It felt a bit rushed I found it lacking!! The time she spent liking the other guy felt more than the time they spent loving each other and to be precise what I mean is her reciprocating his feelings finally. So yeah I felt a little frustrated like we were robbed of The perfect ending. Overall, it was still beautiful.

A healing sweet beautiful drama with no drama or villains

The drama is beautiful its mainly about a love so sweet that you can probably see the honey dripping from the ML 's eyes. I watched because of Zhou ye the FL and ended up falling head over heels for ML Tan Jianci' s voice, acting and charms. He portraied his character to perfection I have no complaints about him! The whole acting crew were so good to be very honest you'd just end up loving every single character in the drama. All of them are so cute, bubbly and passionate people you'd wish you had as friends as well. The whole representation of dubbing and ancient style singing was very well done as well I loved the osts, the costumes and I noticed how Zhou ye's character and other casts mostly wore chinese traditional modern style they were so beautiful. The drama also talked and showed a lot of food! So be ready to feel hungry every time I think I gained 2-3 kg just from watching and givining in to the urges to eat as well ?. The production of the drama is also very well done no complaints about it! The quality was so great!. It just the drama got a little hmm boring at the last episodes? Of course this is coming from me I'm not sure about others but I'm the type of person who doesn't like too much sweetness ? and we got quite the amount of it you see from the start maybe because I'm used to the normal dramas in which the Lead Cp have like an ep or two being lovey dovey before a storm comes and in here nothing happened so it felt stretched. An other complaint of mine is that I felt that the story is heavily focused on the ML. I get how dreamy and tbh very overly perfect he is but it feels too much sometimes I feel tired like even those a bit toxic ML from dramas raised our expectations already you neednt do this it's too muchhh we still need to get married u know!? I also felt like the FL wasn't given a deeper character like all we know is she's a beautiful talented composer but we saw her only compose 1 song or 2. She planned only once. She was always like a sidekick to the ML helping him in the kitchen or tagging along with him yet she was described as a passionate person... It kind of doesn't feel like it her friends from the studio appeared more passionate than her especially the English teacher guagua and zoudiao as well. I was a little disappointed in that aspect I felt like they could've made her match the ML just a little bit more. She seemed very carefree while the ML was both busy passionate hardworking and also still being a caring boyfriend and friend. But again I guess the drama had a hidden story in which the FL is someone who saved a nation in her past life and now is blessed and rewarded with a great family where she's supported, adored and spoiled and a perfect bf and then husband with a great circle of friends and a smooth sailing future.
In conclusion, a beautiful healing drama with too much perfection that might either bore you or give you diabetes with beautiful osts and a great cast.

A lil fun but frustrating watch but great cast!

The story is a bit cliché except the fact that for the first time I felt bad for the male lead and not the FL which was unique in a way since we're talking about a domineering CEO char here. I like the characterization of the ML he is very human like. Realistic. As for the female lead..... Well if it wasn't Bailu acting I'd really have hated her so much. I see her as a self centered and a selfish character. The thing is I would have let it go if she made sense sometimes but welp it is questionable how she is an actual journalist who are very much trained on reading the atmosphere and leading conversation?I would have let it go if like it's because she was nervous but still there were moments even a normal person would know what not to say and what to avoid.... Besides the ML and FL the support chars were a lil chaotic especially the bestie. I love Peiyao but this gotta be her worst character so far and no it's not about the advices she gave it's the lack of story behind the character that made it cringey to watch. I'm guessing a lot of the back story was cut due to editing but the scrap they left truly was so bad. The couple were so badly done. The second supporting couple were better but also questionable in a way like how he suddenly chifted his affection to the lil neice all of a sudden just because of her disappearing on him.... Like he's supposed to be the oldest in the mls so I was expecting a more mature relationship with him tho I'm glad that he didn't cling to the FL and become a rival. Anyways there was a lot of loopholes in the story also professional wise it was boring and uninteresting maybe cuz i watched many heavily focused dramas on work that this felt very poorly done. I have to also add that scenes couldve been done better as in quality wise? I dunno how explain it but the quality wasn't top notch. When I saw the cast I thought the drama would definitely be high quality I had a lot of expectations and while it was fine to watch it was still a little disappointing plus the many ads added I just knew it was prolly treated like those idol dramas made to get money rather than anything else. I feel like they might have rushed it's production as well.... I just feel bad for the cast cuz all of them are such amazing actors I've known from previous works they deserved better!
